Influx of far-right posters

Slightyamusedandsilly · 07/09/2026 08:57

Why has the site suddenly had an influx of far-right posters? Almost overnight.

Is this a concerted campaign by the black shirts from Dover, Reform or Tommy ten names to infiltrate women's SM?

No that’s not what I was talking about, it’s not great at all. But not much point given that previous post.

What were talking about then?

5128gap · 11/09/2026 15:27

Oh they all think its only the competence of the person that matters when they're chuntering about the evils of EDI and how it discriminates against white middle class men. Yet suddenly race and sex is important after all when it's to point score. The only consistency you'll get is Labour: Bad Tories:Good.

This post. Who are you referring to?

Anyone who criticises Labour for having had only white male leaders, while also criticising the concept of EDI. If it matters enough to be something to criticise then it should matter enough to be supportive of measures to monitor and address any issues. Which is all EDI is.

Yes true. The true exception.
But if becoming prime minister with the conservative party was truly merit based, there would be fewer millionaires and billionaires and attendees at top public schools.

Prime minister is never a merit based appointment. Look at Liz truss, who should never have been near that position.

attendees at top public schools

There are attendees at top public schools, but also people who shine at top public schools. Rishi Sunak was head boy at his top public school, gained a first-class degree from Oxford, then won a prestigious post-graduate scholarship to Stanford in the US. Boris Johnson won an academic scholarship to Eton, was a captain of school, ran Eton's debating society and later became president of the Oxford Union's debating society.

there would be fewer millionaires and billionaires

Successful businesspeople are an asset in government.

The Tory government hoisted the trans shitshow on us. From PM May's Self ID, PM Johnson refusing to say only women have a cervix, PM Truss reducing the cost of a GRC to £5🤯, successive Education ministers being Self ID. Sure their minister stood at the Despatch Box and said Transmen are women and transwomen are women in response to ammendments the Lords were seeking to their Maternity Bill. A Maternity Bill for crying out loud.🙄

I would argue that the Conservatives only tinkered around the edges of self-ID. It was the Labour Party who published actual manifesto pledges -

2019 UK general election party manifesto commitments on GRA reform

Conservatives:
No reference to reform of the Gender Recognition Act.

Labour:
“Labour is committed to reforming the Gender Recognition Act 2004 to introduce self-declaration for transgender people.”

https://murrayblackburnmackenzie.org/2019/11/28/2019-uk-general-election-party-manifesto-commitments-on-gra-reform/

2017
Let trans people self-identify their gender, Corbyn urges May...

“Discrimination has gone on too long. The Gender Recognition Act does not allow trans people to self-identify their gender and forces them to undergo invasive medical tests. This is wrong,” he said.

“Labour recognised this in our manifesto, pledging to update the act. Theresa May told Pink News that ‘changes need to be made’ but failed to include anything on this in the Conservative manifesto.

Not true. Thatcher herself said she found it very tough as an outsider and from a middle class background to progress, although she clearly did. She has talked about how badly the old guard as she called them treated her. Thatcher rose in spite of many in her party. Although when they saw how popular she was with the public, they threw their support behind her.

Others such as sunak have not talked openly about their experience so we have no idea if they fought against the odds or it was merit based. But it is worth saying that the conservative party all most to a person chooses prime ministers who are very wealthy. Sunak, Thatcher married a man who was extremely wealthy, Boris johnson. Wealth and attendance at top public schools seems more important than anything else to the conservative party.

So like I’ve been saying from the off on MN - the UK generally are elitist rather than racist.

Or is it people pointing out the party obsessed with appearing to be the natural choice for us BAME have never had anyone remotely BAME or female.

The jokers offered up by the Labour Party BAME in comparison to the BAME of the Conservatives is also telling.

Abbott who can’t do maths, is always wheeled out, even when the rotund hypocrite makes speeches about fee paying schools yet sent her son to said fee paying school. Then we have Kemi, Super, Super Kem!

Labour haven't had a female leader but their numbers of MPs and cabinet ministers are around the 50% point which reflects the population. Their numbers of non white MPs are also representative. Obviously its disappointing that given this, no woman or person of colour has achieved the leadership position.
Badenoch has strengths certainly. She is articulate and an arresting performer. She says very little with which I agree, but I find myself drawn to listening to her nonetheless. She is a strong choice to lead your party.

No he didn't. Radical Feminists fought this through the courts.

Rishi Sunak did nothing beyond appointing Gillian Keegan, yet another in a long line of GI advocates,🙄 to Minister of Education. He also provided my favourite answer to "what is a woman?. He said it was whatever PM Johnson said.🤣🤣🤣 Was he the PM when Jamie Wallis was appointed to Women and Equalities? I'd hoped for better from him.

But then I'd hoped for better when Liz Truss became PM as well.
Doh!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

There are two distinct legal challenges here:

16 Jan 2023
Rishi Sunak’s government has blocked legislation passed by the Scottish parliament that would make Scotland the first part of the UK to introduce a self-identification system for people who want to change gender.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/dec/08/scottish-court-rules-uk-government-veto-of-gender-recognition-bill-lawful

April 2025
Judges at the Supreme Court have unanimously ruled that a woman is defined by biological sex under equalities law...

The court sided with campaign group For Women Scotland, which brought a case against the Scottish government arguing that sex-based protections for women should only apply to those that are born female.

Interesting that both @5128gap and @TooBigForMyBoots take the purely merit based approach to hiring. Didn't have you down as being so aligned with Charlie Kirk.

Who?

5128gap · Yesterday 06:42

TooBigForMyBoots · Yesterday 00:03

Who?

PP doesn't understand that a merit based approach to 'hiring', or recruitment as we call it here in the UK, is the point of EDI (or DEI as he probably calls it) rather than an alternative. Charlie Kirk was an American who didn't understand this either.
I think the misunderstanding comes from too much focus on US politics and the projection of them onto the UK, for one reason or another.
We see the same with certain posters referencing CRT, as though it's a thing here when in the UK it's very niche and largely rejected as a concept.

Look at those horribly intimidating far right women in Piddington.

DestituteDesperate · Yesterday 07:08

The peace loving tree hugging Green Party have been so horrifically misogynistic that women leave but not much coverage on that. The leader can also register to vote under two different names, looking forward to that expose coming soon, oh wait…

Labour Party talking about feminism and equality go to events where women are either separated or not allowed to attend.

Think I’ll have to stick it out being far right with Kemi.

Are you referring to 11 years ago when a Labour event included the option of a single sex space for women in a venue?
Or perhaps to 2025 when trans 'women' (biological men) were not included in the women's conference?

Ask Stella Creasy.

Ask Stella Creasy.

She has attended events where Muslim people are separated by sex but these were not 'Labour party events'.
Do you have examples of the Labour Party organising events that excluded biological women as you claimed?

did you not read my post? I said where the Labour Party (inferred members) GO to events did I say where they organised.

some ‘proud feminist’.

This is what all the shills do start playing semantics so they can deflect. Enjoy your weekend.

Ah so we've reached the call me names and flounce stage already have we? That seems rather rude and over reactive of you when all I've done is politely question your comments.
Pity as I'd have been interested on your opinion on single sex schools, and the segregation of students on the grounds of sex, and exclusion of girls from boys schools, had you been able to keep your anger under control. Never mind. Enjoy yours too.

Hey thanks for telling me what I do or do not understand. I was merely pointing out that merit based hiring is a talking point recently more associated with the right wing than the left.

yes, a fair few of those would be in our far right thug club.

The left are in trouble.

All they really have left is the indoctrination of the kids to try stay afloat. Eventually the kids grow up and grow out of things.

And I was merely pointing out your error in believing that people who support EDI don't also believe in merit based 'hiring'. EDI tries to ensure people are recruited on merit without disadvantage or discrimination holding them back.
What the late Mr Kirk had to say on the subject is somewhat moot as far as I'm concerned, given I'm not an American.

Your post implied that you see 'merit based hiring' as different from recruitment that takes into account EDI. Most people who have positive views of EDI know it actually drives merit based recruitment.
