Has anyone else seen the news about what’s happening in Portsmouth this evening
A boat has arrived in Hampshire and the protesters from Dover are currently in the sea blocking passage with hundreds more on the quay blocking coaches waiting.

I live in an area that is a muslim majority, Labour won by a landslide. A muslim candidate. I had female muslims knocking on my door, handing me leaflets, and they couldn't even speak English when I questioned them.

Here is my local councillor and her new initiate for kids in the area.

Notice anything??

A Playzone has been officially opened?

The criteria are insane.

Men are currently being granted asylum by pretending to be gay.

The asylum system has been utterly corrupted, and must now be completely stopped.

How will handing over processing to a foreign government change the criteria as opposed to our own governments immigration department having the resources to process applications ?

Or do you really mean not processing applications but paying for Rwanda 2 to take people

Daniel Thomas (the organiser) is a convicted kidnapper. The attempted kidnap was linked to drugs.

I guess it's up to people whether they're fine with violent crime and drug gangs. If that's what you'd like your communities to be based around??? Tommy Robinson himself has been convicted of multiple crimes, including fraud and stalking women. Again, obviously leader material for some people.

I'm amazed how easily and readily people want to hand off power to these men.

But..but…‘they’re brave!’

My daughter goes to an all girls school in a small city that has had a huge Asian population for many years now. In fact, in her school which a super selective grammar, she’s in the minority as a white child (my mother is half Indian, so she also has Indian heritage).

There are many “asylum seekers” housed in that city. They cause huge issues. One being waiting at bus stops for the girls from the school, standing across the road from the school gates, taking photos and videos of them, making lewd comments.

Because many of families at the school are of Indian and Pakistani heritage, it’s almost funny to see people not knowing what to say when it’s the Indian and Pakistani parents of the girls (rightly) kicking off and screaming blue murder about their daughters not being safe in the city.

It’s like it doesn’t compute in people’s brains. They wouldn’t dare call the fathers standing outside the school to protect the girls gammons, uneducated council estate scum, wife beaters, or tell them to shut up and collect their benefits.

It’s actually quite fascinating to see.

So the real problem is policing. Fathers shouldn’t have to be standing there to protect girls there should be enough police to have a daily physical presence on uk streets to manage these issues.

If you want about two people look at policy that has done that elsewhere.

But there isn’t though. There aren’t enough police. And now they are scrapping the police apprenticeships, there will be even less.

Also, do you know how many police officers are leaving? Do you also have any idea of the diversity training?

Two tier policing isn’t a myth, it’s very real. They will not do anything about them harassing girls and they can’t be seen to be racist against certain religions.

Fucking hell I have been through so much in the last 5 years with one close family member. I have experience of so many things that I wish I could talks about more freely. I mean, I’ve tried to here before but you just get accused of lying or being a troll, even when I’ve offered to show proof of things.

Again, anyone wants to PM me, you are welcome to.

I honestly wish you could all come to my house and talk to me and my son about so many issues that have been spoken about on this thread

“So the real problem is policing” ???

The real problem is not groups of men harassing girls?

Dd walked along the Edgware Rd in London on Saturday. She said never again. She was hissed at, men sort of jiggling suggestively in her path and leering. She took an uber back from her destination. But it’s a policing problem? Strewth.

Who'd have thought it, eh...?

No.

I mean that if you puncture an inflatable boat full of people in deep water, some of those people may drown right there and then.

Why not deflate the boat before people get in it? Or in shallow water?

The poster said on dry land before it sets sail. What’s dangerous about that? It wouldn’t be that the occupants weren’t entirely happy that they’d been thwarted, would it?

?????

Do you really mean that immigration criteria should be reviewed and the government department responsible to apply that criteria to applications should have the resources to enable them to properly process against that criteria ?

Do you mean that sovereignty & controlling our own borders is to hand all of that to some other foreign government ?

Or do you mean to make up sound bites and pay for a foreign government to do something completely
different to the sound bites ?

They could use air rifles or BB guns from a distance. A small craft knife.

There is absolutely no excuse why a whole police force absolutely cannot pop a dinghy.

Its ridiculous to even say it out loud.

They do indeed slash boats on dry land. (Edited to add: at least I saw news eports of them doing so when boats were setting off from known places in France. The boats are having to travel further now so it may be less possible to get them at the start point.)

I don't see in that chain where "The poster said on dry land before it sets sail"?

I mean look at countries who have achieved about two arriving, whilst at the top of rights tables, able to trade well etc.

The stretch of coastline used to launch the boats is 70 miles wide. How many police officers would be required to police that distance 24/7?

There are so many vodeos where the French police are just stood there doing nothing!

I'm not talking about the instances where they don't know a crossing is happening. They are often right there on the beach!

MaturingCheeseball · 07/09/2026 12:20

I think what is worrying ordinary people in Portsmouth and elsewhere is this boat launched from a new location far away - not from Calais or environs. This could herald a complete invasion as it was successful. All they need to do is launch and then alert the coastguard/RNLI etc who will be duty bound to rescue them. I can also foresee the Channel Islands being targeted à la Ceuta.

Gtfto2024 · 07/09/2026 12:24

ShakeMeUpJudie · 07/09/2026 12:08

The footage shows people wading chest deep to get into the boats carrying children that would be out of their depth. This is not shallow for them, and popping an overfilled boat at this depth would probably result in drowning as people panic.

They do pop them when on dry land.

ShakeMeUpJudie · 07/09/2026 12:27

I don’t know whether people genuinely believe it when they say stuff like “the French police can’t damage the boats for x reason” or “there’s too much coastline for the French to stop people setting off”. Do they really believe it? Do they think other people will? I mean clearly, if there was the political will every boat could be stopped before it set off from Frances. Yes, it would be costly. But what is happening now is costly and not just in financial terms.

I just feel maybe people are trying to comfort themselves by persuading themselves that what is happening is a natural, unavoidable and benign rather than what it is.

I think it's fair to argue about how asylum seekers and illegal immigrants should be dealt with once they get here, but the people of any coastal area would have more to worry about if the RNLI didn't consider it their duty to save anyone who is in danger of drowning.

Edited

Indeed. If these people were always shipped back to France and France had to pay out costs of returning them I think they would soon find a way to stop the boats.
It must take absolutely ages to get one of those massive RIBs ready to go and loaded up. The French police have ample time to stop it
