They bear an unfortunate resemblance to the blackshirts

They aren't being aggressive at all, just standing there. I don't think they are blocking the boats I think they are just causing chaos, annoyance etc.

OK the story's been updated and now says the men have been heard chanting "Stop the boats".

But Ferries are relatively green compared to other transport methods. Apart from ships that burn bunker oil. But that is banned in such areas I think.

They wouldn't have got all that if they'd turned up in T-shirts saying (eg) Just Stop Oil and holding banners demanding something specific.
