Set up a DD & we change my sparks card preference.
feels as though some people will only qualify for help from the emergency services if the right ethnicity, going by some of the bile being spewed out last day or so.

I haven't ventured off the friendly threads for a few months, conserving my energy, but I have been on a few in the last couple of days and it's like a cesspit out there. It's sickening some of the stuff people are posting, yet they think it's reasonable. I'm not convinced those posters are anywhere near genuine.

Mumsnet have taken some stuff down, I think they should be removing more on the basis that if they aren't part of the solution then they are part of the problem.

Just changed my sparks card to RNLI too.

Was doing prostate cancer as my dad has it but I’m sure as an ex coastguard and lifeguard he’ll agree it’s just as worthy cause.

It's rather breezy out there and the the jackdaws have been playing silly buggers in it on their way to bed. Always fun to watch.

Back home feeling rather glum. Got caught up in the whole air traffic control chaos at Heathrow this afternoon. Should have been in Valencia right now. My Christmas present from DH, and also our wedding anniversary today.

Thank you all. They offered us another flight but it was a) not till after 5pm tomorrow b) flying via Paris, with a 90 minute layover which meant c) we wouldn't have got to our apartment until around 10.30 pm. And so we would only have had around a day and a half in Valencia instead of our planned 3.

Looks like we should get a refund on the flight - and we do have insurance which may cover us for the flights and also the accommodation <fingers crossed>. But I'd just like to be there now, enjoying the sunshine!!!

I don't have a "sparks" card but I buy each year from the RNLI. I love lighthouses and may have a collection.

Oh. and nothing can be cancelled/rearranged online. All has to be done via phone. Which no-one answers.
