I have had a direct debit to them since the Flying Farage fundraiser on FB took off.

IGreat work - and all of you donating - so needed.

I will say that whilst hopefully donations will go up, this is so far, far the worst we have got it’s not going to be enough of a thing to be pleased about unfortunately.

I do hope the backlash proves a bit of an own goal in turning people off Tommo’s group - but I mean there’s already many reasons not to join with Tommo - not sure what it might take to change support for him for his followers. Maybe the media will stop indicating thugs around the coast are a good thing though.

Also donated.

Cheguevarahamster · 08/09/2026 13:01

Had a donation running for few years. Very worthy cause.

And here.

Meanwhile Farage has deleted this post, perhaps he realises he has gone too far

Nothing surprises me any more. My shock threshold is far higher than it used to be.

Farage doesn't understand the legal terms of aiding and abetting.

It's pertinent to financial irregularities and fraud.

I hate to say this but...
We have no way of telling if Farage did post that or not. In our 'post-truth world' there is misinformation on both sides and I'm therefore sceptical of all reports of deleted posts.

SerendipityJane · 08/09/2026 13:58

Did you know that the literal Argentinian translation of "Epstein" is "Malvinas" ?

You mean there is a very real danger that Nigel Farage could complain it's not true ?

Is there a difference between ethics and scruples ? (Obviously there is, or they would be the same word).

Ethically I am completely opposed to the death penalty (for example).

However if someone is waving a weapon around in public I would have no scruples about incapacitating them. Permanently if it is unavoidable.

Evenstar · 08/09/2026 14:02

I agree @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats and to be honest someone else probably runs his social media accounts. If it appeared at all it’s shameful and in the light if RNLI volunteers being doxxed dangerous.
I fear a line has been crossed this week.

This is in conjunction with Canada and France.

I’ve seen it reported that 12 countries in total are doing the same.

I am sceptical too. Let's see if Farage challenges it.

A line has definitely been crossed.

BestIsWest · 08/09/2026 14:10

I’ve donated to the RNLI and changed my M&S Sparks card so that the RNLI are my chosen charity (they get 1p every time I scan my Sparks card, not much but it’s something).

LlynTegid · 08/09/2026 14:14

The West Bank sanctions (if I can call them that) are in response to a very specific settlement proposal that divides the place. I think what is proposed is proportionate and reasonable.

My disagreement is with the government of Benjamin Netanyahu not the people of Israel as a whole.

RNLI fundraiser for 'Flying Farage' hovercraft jumps £5,000 after far-right thugs attack hero volunteers

The fundraiser started in 2021. I didn't realise it was that long ago.

That was when Farage attacked them as 'taxi boats'

thats always the case with sanctions though. I haven’t got much against the Russians, and I know sanctions make their lives harder but there’s no alternative. I’m glad Labour has joined this international move to protect the possibility of a Palestinian state and therefore a two state solution.

I agree with all of this. It’s completely shameful.

But if Farage didn’t post it himself, it will be interesting to see if he disassociates himself from it. That will be very telling.

SerendipityJane · 08/09/2026 15:07

This popped up just now in my feed.

It could be called the Farage reverse ferret

The hate on this site is just too much at the moment. There is a thread about banning balaclavas which is going as you'd expect. Am going to ban myself from posting anywhere but here for a bit.
