I think Farage really is toast. The not listening claim suggests he knows that the law has been broken and he is desperately trying to distance himself.

A canny operator - realising that - would seek to work out how best to use it to their advantage, I mean if you do have to go down, you may as well get the maximum effect out of it.

"AI" suggests the most logical approach would be to reference some sort of unproveable threat that could be weaponised to motivate his base to civil unrest and an atmosphere of fear. Which is catnip to the right wing. Or left wing, in history.

It has been on my mind all day too @Zonder it seems like a new low even for Reform and for politics in this country and seeing the streets of Dover filled with masked men is a very unsettling image as well.

Also my cats have all gone bananas. Las (the orange one) brought a frog in earlier (still alive and intact, no idea how it got into the catio) and now he and one of the others are hunting a grasshopper which was unwise enough to come in. The fat tabby is yelling at a moth which is sitting on the ceiling, because it has wings and he doesn't. I'm sure the Ladyship is out there on the prowl too, and the only one not hunting anything is the wobbly one.

DS2 has, too. He seems to be affected by whatever it is in the air that breaks cats.

It's very humid here tonight - could that be what's putting cats and children out of sorts?
