Which animal would you introduce to the UK?

If you ignore the whole environmental disaster aspect, what animal would you introduce to the UK?

I'd go for quokkas. They're just so happy! The one in the picture is halfway through a messy divorce. Still happy!
And when threatened by a predator they may dump their babies on the floor and leg it, so they're sensible too.

Fireflies. I miss fireflies.

Red squirrels - everywhere, but just in little pockets.

Agree wolves should be re-introduced. They are VERY wary of humans and would keep well clear of us while keeping deer populations in check.

There are hundreds of thousands of feral camels in Australia, to the great detriment of the natural environment. They were originally brought in as pack animals and then when motorised transport came in, many were just released into the wild. They eat everything, are aggressive, and cause a huge amount of damage to infrastructure, including settlements and water pipes. They have to hold a cull every so often. I saw a documentary about it once. There's a lot about it on Wikipedia and elsewhere on t'internet if you want a read.

Wolves please.

I lived in Canada for a few years and DH is Canadian, I'd say no to the trash pandas 🦝 but we used to get hummingbirds in the garden in summer and they were lovely, I bought feeders and hummingbird nectar stuff for them. We'd also occasionally get moose wandering around in the neighbourhood, and we saw bobcats, coyotes and black bears in the city (Calgary). I love moose, they are amazing to look at, they're absolutely enormous, but they can be unpredictable and aggressive.

From pps, Quokkas and giraffes would both get my vote! Wolves too, as long as it was safe for them.

Bring back the Dodo, that's what I say.
