Which animal would you introduce to the UK?

If you ignore the whole environmental disaster aspect, what animal would you introduce to the UK?

I'd go for quokkas. They're just so happy! The one in the picture is halfway through a messy divorce. Still happy!
And when threatened by a predator they may dump their babies on the floor and leg it, so they're sensible too.

Most of you have chosen such nice animals but I would like to bring over those Californian bears that open car and house doors and have a rummage around your stuff. 😂

We technically get them but I’m west coast of Scotland and get so jealous when I see further north orca sightings it’s my ultimate dream! But those aside perhaps sugar gliders or ocelots

I’m in Perth, can confirm that quokkas are adorable. One got into my handbag once trying to steal my sandwich, I was tempted to take it home but I think they probably would have spotted it on the Rottnest ferry! We also have fairy penguins, sadly now endangered, and the golf course is full of kangaroos. We have a few whales in the bay too at the minute, although sadly one beached itself a few days ago. I was disappointed that we don’t get koalas here, or wombats, so I would like some of them please, and some Pallas cats because I love them.

Sugar gliders. That's all.

Red-Necked Wallabies. Just putting this in because there is a wild population in the British Isles. On the Isle of Man. They do well in the climate apparently.

Raccoons. I love seeing them in the US.

Pygmy hippos ❤️❤️❤️ or platypuses would be my dream scenario.

The quokka looks lovely.

Drop bears.

Opossums. They carry their babies on their backs and the odd one will get left behind so lots of rescue opportunities for a cute and easily cared for pet.

I also think raccoons look fun.

I think the general consensus is Australian marsupials with pouches.

To be fair, the camel experiment has not gone down well in Australia.

Not just Californian! The first time I housesat for a friend’s parents in Vermont, I realised why they’d been so strict their instructions on making sure the door that led to the bins was locked! Bear in the garage.

We already have some wild red-necked wallabies in Bedfordshire. I'm not sure whether they were originally escapees from Whipsnade or Woburn Safari Park, one or the other.

Quolls. Another cute marsupial, but a mostly female population as the males die off after mating.

I bet they have a fantastic dating scene.

Penguins! I live in the north east and am sick to death with everyone coming here to see puffins!
