Which organisations if any have you decided to never use again for one reason or another?

I'll start with British Gas, awful company, very expensive and customer service is non existent..there is a reason they have lost a few million customers of recent years, close second place is EE for similar reasoning.

Body shop after they bullied J K Rowling online. There was no need for a company to jump on one woman for having different views.

G1 Group, who I think have changed name, for the atrocious treatment of staff during the pandemic. They fired anyone they could and told them they could’ve-apply after lockdown, aye with worse terms and lower pay. Those they couldn’t just sack were asked to take a three month unpaid holiday (so they could claim £1000 per person from the government). Utter cocks, the owner is a multimillionaire. I refuse to set foot in any of their properties.

Morrisons, they caused several thousands of pounds in damage to my car when I used the car wash at one of their petrol stations. Took them to the small claims court and eventually settled at about 50% of the actual cost of repairs. They were so blatantly in the wrong but preferred to spend time and money defending the case than actually just admitting the car wash was faulty. Can’t set foot in their shops now!

Do you express the same concern for press scrutiny of Farage?

John Lewis , even though I used to absolutely love the store

They screwed up an order and it took months to arrive and the most annoying part of it all was everytime I spoke to customer service they told me a different story , some of which included just blatant lies.

But the experience totally ruined it for me

That and their Christmas adverts are now shite

I put in a large order in Nov for Xmas presents for about 15 people (I was in a busy job with small children, didn’t have time to shop). Money left my account, received an order confirmation. Thought no more of it. Then in about April, something a friend said let slip she hadn’t got my gift. Further digging and NO ONE HAD. Contacted Biscuiteers ‘oh sorry, technical error, but we didn’t take any money’. Had to battle back through to demonstrate they absolutely had. I asked repeatedly to speak to someone, I didn’t want a refund, I wanted the gifts to go out with a little apology note. Total silence, automated refund.

Awful people.

RAC Breakdown. My Dad died last month, phoned them to tell them and check my Mum would still be covered in her car as she has membership with his. Was told the bereavement team would call me back, they didn't. Called a week later, bereavement team will call you back, they didn't. Called again, same. Put in an official complaint, still nothing. In the last month I've spoken to bereavement staff at many places (banks, pensions, building societies, BT, water companies, TV licence and weirdly even RAC insurance-same company but very different) and have been treated with respect and efficiency but I now won't touch RAC Breakdown with a bargepole after their shitshow of no response.

Oh and another one another utilities supplier EDF!! Left domestic violence, asked them not to send anything to do with me to my exes address and explained the situation and they sent a letter with my new refuge address to his address saying I’d switched supply address and the new address printed on it. Still have no idea why they’d send a letter about new supply to an old address but can you imagine the risk! I got a £50 voucher but not the point

I dont give money to any of the big Armed forces charities, Children in need or comic relief.
In fact the only charities I donate to are local volunteer led small animal charities. The ones that rescue stray cats, neuter them and patch up their wounds

Incidentally I now run my own business. Bugger ups happen, staff are human, things happen. Honesty and swift resolution and the opportunity to talk to a human go a long way. It’s never the actual mistake usually, it’s how it’s handled

Morrisons, as one of their trucks tried to run me off the road years ago. My DC were in the car with me. Closest I’ve come to death.

The new Argos Pay they changed my date to an earlier date ( due to it filling on a weekend ) and then changed me a late fee , when I paid it on my regular pay date .. and were so rude on the phone .

I will never use pret after they mislabelled food that killed that young woman. Awful.

British Airways. Especially their "premium economy" offering. Shocking.

Eon Next. Truly awful customer service. Really bad. Speaking to them is like being caught in some terrible doom loop.

Hello Fresh - a nightmare to cancel a trial with
Santander - seemed to have no clue what they were doing, lost paperwork, one branch seemed unable to communicate with another
British Gas - just a catalogue of incompetence. Sent no bills / multiple bills for meters that weren’t mine / debt collection letters for accounts that weren’t mine etc etc. Went on for months.
NatWest - couldn’t seem to accept that they did not have to speak to my (now ex) husband about MY accounts / money. Outrageous!
A local branch of Specsavers whose ‘customer service’ was invisible from start to finish.

Dyson after they closed their UK factory and swanned off to Malaysia.
Honda after they closed their factory in Swindon making all the staff redundant.
And P & O can piss right off after what they did to their ferry staff!

Also adding, Royal Mail. A parcel I sent tracked, mysteriously had no tracking, then they found it had been damaged, said it had been disposed of and offered me 4 x 1st Class Stamps!

If I was rich enough to fund an alternative, I would never use the NHS again, the start are great the resources are not and I have had to wait an unduly long amount of time for treatments to make my life worth living again.

British Gas - I see a theme here, I complained, it went tot he Ombudsman, who found in my favour and despite it being agreed what they needed to do to rectify the situation, they haven't done it.

Office of Public Guardians - allowing LPA's on line facilitates financial & welfare abuse.

I think out of the big energy companies Octopus and EDF are the best imo

Yeah I did just post about edf revealing my safe house address to my ex when I left domestic violence so they’re crossed off for me too 🙈 I’ve been with Scottish power since being in my new house and no issues with them but have seen some replies on here about them too lol
