I’m so intrigued by the user names on here. Some are just so funny.
Mine is derived from my Grandma saying it.

I'm a paper, books and stationery addict.

NatashaGurdin · 27/08/2026 22:25

Mine is a modified version of a name Natalie Wood had before she was Natalie Wood, I was reading a biography about her at the time.

Skibunnygal · 27/08/2026 22:46

My name is the opposite of what I actually am.

I always use the name of Crossroads characters

Aww my friend’s mum (and my friend as a baby!) was in Crossroads :)

A very very long time ago when CB radios became a thing Crispynoodle was my handle

It’s the title of a song by Boards of Canada, a favourite band of mine.

Thechangingtides · 28/08/2026 14:09

The book in front of me at the time.

whiteroseredrose · 28/08/2026 14:27

Born in Yorkshire, raised in Lancashire

Wipeywipey · 28/08/2026 14:29

I change every so often so whatever comes to mind at the time really. If people have themes it is usually bc they want regular users to know who they are.

CrushingOnRubies · 28/08/2026 15:09

It’s the name of a Nails Inc nail polish I like.

JaninefromEastenders · 28/08/2026 15:14

I always use the names of modern female role models.

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 28/08/2026 15:29

Mine is from a song by The 1975 about a man who fell in love with a robot (whose name was snowflakesmasher86). I’ve found that people definitely judge me on here because of it, but that’s quite interesting in itself, given all the nonsense names and random references people assume I’m really some arsey troll who calls people snowflakes!

I was reading Jilly Cooper’s Polo when I was choosing a username. It’s not my favourite Jilly book and she’s not a very nice character really, but I can’t be bothered to change it.

Irrigation at the people who post random questions that they could just Google. Mainly local fb groups, "What time is X bus' etc....

Mischance · 28/08/2026 16:02

WarmthAndDepth · 28/08/2026 16:05

In honour of vaginas everywhere.

I name-change quite frequently but also resurrect my old names just to mix it up a bit. They all have some personal significance.

It's a line from a song I love that happened to come up on Spotify as I was musing a name change.

Apologies for hi jacking the thread bit how do I change my user name..I've had messages come up saying I can't do it?

Years back I had that, I couldn't change it and when I asked MN why not they wouldn't really answer me. So I created a new email account and new MN account and have used that one ever since.
