How did you come up with your Mumsnet username?

I’m so intrigued by the user names on here. Some are just so funny.
Mine is derived from my Grandma saying it.
How did you come up with your user name?

I have a Smart car and I love it.

When I was a punk in 1976/77 we used to make up punky names for ourselves. I was:
D* Cynical
D* Davros Or
The new wave Frank Muir
I also like Doctor Who a lot. I’ve had the same username since I joined MN 23 years ago (boast)

I use my cats’ names, and always have done on here.

I change a lot. But might stick with this one.

Mine is a character from a book I was reading. I used to change quite regularly, but this one stuck.

Mine's a lyric from Cemetry Gates by the Smiths (my favourite band). I've had so many over the years though!

Mine's a track from one of my favourite bands, Alabama 3. And also because altho I always wanted to go to Goa, I had to accept the fact that no, I ain't ever going to Goa. The lyrics are very funny btw.

I name change frequently for anonymity so it’s usually something random in my head at the time that may or may not have much meaning. Currently it’s the name of a song I like.

When I was growing up in the 60s, there was a mostly forgotten kid’s TV science show called Tom-Tom. It featured a vaguely canine mechanical talking animal called Serendipity Dog, which impressed me hugely at the time, although I seem to be the only person in the UK to remember it!
Anyway, I’m more of a cat lover these days, hence SerendipityCat.

I lost my original account and username in a glitch in the matrix. I thought it might be temporary.

When my DS was about three he was throwing a bit of a tantrum over something totally ridiculous. I was getting a bit exasperated so I told him to stop being a drama llama. His response, all indignant: 'I'm not a drama llama, I'm a drama alpaca!'

The song was on the radio and there was also a user name called this so I added an ‘s’ 🤷‍♀️

Needed a new name and Marge is the only sane one in Fargo.
