Why hasn’t Brad Pitt been cancelled?

Why hasn’t Brad Pitt been cancelled? I don’t even really pay attention to celebrity news but I see occasional things that he’s divorced, alcoholic, was abusive to his wife and children, children don’t want his last name, etc. Especially because his ex (Angelina Jolie) seems to be idolised for her beauty and humanitarian work. It’s not like people don’t like her!

Is Brad Pitt just too handsome? What’s the deal?

Well its all hearsay.

Personally don't find AJ that admirable despite beauty or humanitarian work.

This in spades I struggle to believe a word she says and won't be condemning anyojevon her say so. Her actions and those of the children reek of parental alienation.

If what she alleges did happen on that plane, why did the crew not divert the plane to the nearest airport and inform security to come and arrest him? Why was he never charged? Why did he get 50/50 custody of his children?
The likeliest answer to those questions is that AJs statement was ‘unproveable’ at best, and a pack of lies at worst.

Exactly. They'd have had police waiting on the tarmac to arrest him if all that was true. And also, why is there no mention of the pilot intervening? Or the cabin crew? It's unacceptable and dangerous to have someone out of control like that in the air. Usually the aircraft is brought to the ground asap, turning back to the departure airport often. Then the perp is not allowed off, but the police come on board and handcuff/arrest them, and escort them off the plane.

It simply cannot have been that bad if there's no mention of the pilot intervening, the plane being diverted, and police waiting. He supposedly assaulted Jolie, lunged at and choked one of the children, poured beer over AJ, they all say there in terror while he kept emerging from the back of the plane to yell, he banged AJ into a seat to get her off his back when she was on him to stop the lunge, and then the other children all rushed into the fray? And none of them were told to sit down and fasten their seatbelts by the pilot? There was a massive brawl in the air and the pilot didn't get the plane down asap?

Pull the other one. That report - which is AJ's, NOT the flight crew's - is a load of old codswallop. It's also worth pointing out that Brad disputes it.

But the biggest giveaway is that the pilot apparently ignored it. I expect the FBI investigated and was told by the pilot and cabin crew that no such things happened. There was probably a row and he raised his voice.

Hear, hear.

But that's far too much common sense for many on here!

I’d be interested to know how the flight crew knew what had allegedly happened prior to boarding the plane, and whilst on the plane knew what allegedly happened in the toilet. Did they have the power of second sight?

Erm, I'm sorry, did it only take place prior to boarding the plane, and while in the toilet with the door shut?

Anyway, I answered your questions, so there you go.

CrazyMidget · Yesterday 07:08

maxslice · Yesterday 06:18

I agree that his lyrics can be quite sexually suggestive. But from what I heard, they all address consensual activity between the speaker and adult women. I found as a writer, that if the narrator in a story is “I” some readers wrongly assume the “I” is me. He is certainly a problematic individual.

Who are you talking about?? Whose lyrics?

nomas · Yesterday 07:09

I’ve never been a fan. He’s a milquetoast as an actor / in looks.

He attacked his son on a private plane and the FBI had to attend. Leave him to his alcoholism.

It's not the flight crew's report. It's AJ's statement.

I don't agree that AJ has turned her life around. Her sustained campaign of parental alienation because Brad once badly lost it in the chaos of six unruly children does not indicate someone who has turned into a better person. We know that BP has dealt with his alcohol and weed problems. He's been interviewed extensively about it. He could be telling massive lies continually about this, of course, but I'd imagine someone in his world would have leaked about his continued alcohol and drug use, if so.

I think she's a psychopath, and they never change their spots. She didn't care about Laura Dern's or Jennifer Aniston's feelings, and she apparently has zero concern over how it might feel to be cut off from your six children. She just wanted to keep them all to herself, and sod how he feels. Of course, I could be wrong, but it seems to me that AJ has zero empathy for anyone who has something she wants. Previously it was two men, and then it was time with the children.

What if... Brad interviews to discuss how he dealt with his addiction is just a front? Obviouly one that works for you.
You know who else didn't care about Laura and Jennifer's feeling? Their husbands, which includes our mate Brad!

And you know who else didn't get overwhelmed and didn't crumble under pressure of 6 unruly children? Their mum, Angelina! But surely it's because she's a psycho 🤣🤣🤣

Because he hasn’t been found guilty of anything?

Yes, there were allegations made by AJ.
Allegations aren’t proof. They clearly had a lot of conflict. The fact that the children are removing his name also doesn’t prove anything. It’s also pretty common for ex partners to alienate children against one parent. I’m not saying that happened, but we just don’t know

Not as common as abusive men crying ‘alienation’ when it’s their behaviour has caused estrangement or protective behaviours in the mother. Why? Because they love and miss their children? Nope. Because they want to cover up their behaviour and that is their only defence.

OtterlyAstounding · Yesterday 07:14

Additionally, given it's a private jet for the ultra rich, all kinds of wild and illegal behaviour would be tolerated that wouldn't be on a public plane, along with much higher levels of discretion expected by the flight crew - it's likely written into their contracts to essentially turn a blind eye to their clients' behaviour.

If anything, I'd think his behaviour must've been quite serious for one of the flight crew to break silence and report it to authorities.

OtterlyAstounding · Yesterday 07:15

CrazyMidget · Yesterday 07:09

It's not the flight crew's report. It's AJ's statement.

I have never once said that was the flight crew's statement, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Bikenutz · Yesterday 07:19

I’m not going to give a movie a swerve because of unsubstantiated allegations about one person, of the hundreds involved.

CowTown · Yesterday 07:25

Do you honestly believe that one of the most powerful women in Hollywood, from a powerful family, would be ignored by the police? Especially when there were supposedly a full flight crew of witnesses, never mind the many children present?
There is clearly more to this whole incident than anyone who wasn’t present knows. Somewhere in the depths of her side of the story and his side is the actual truth. Everyone here, including me, is just speculating. Meanwhile there is a group of deeply disturbed children (now adult) who, because of one couple’s desire to buy a family, some have been taken from their heritage and thrown into the spotlight.

I absolutely believe that beautiful women aren’t believed by the police in California. 100%. Harvey Weinstein, anyone? Nicole Brown Simpson? The police were literally called out to her house dozens of times. There are multiple police call recordings of her saying, “He’s going to end up killing me.” And yet, after each visit, it was, “It’s a domestic—two sides to the story. Nothing to see here.” And no charges were pressed.

This. All kinds of shit went down on Epstein’s private jet.

This is not true. Aviation law applies to all jets, not just commercial ones. And on a plane, the pilot has authority over passengers who are unruly, like a captain does on ships. Ship captains have the authority to lock up passengers who are causing danger. Can't do that on a plane for lack of room, but a pilot can tell a passenger to sit down and fasten their seatbelt, and has the authority to divert the plane if they refuse. If they cause a brawl, as AJ's report says, they're obliged to get the plane down asap, as it's too dangerous otherwise.

Alternativelyviewed · Yesterday 07:28

Never tell someone whose being violent like that something more than will rile them ,Jolie should have just got the DC and left that plane.
Not balmjng her she shouldn't have too im just pointing out for other readers never tell the baddie what your up to..

Also, while AJ seems like a very strange, not particularly ethical woman, nothing excuses the way BP behaved towards her and the children. She could be a horrible person, and it still would have no relevance to him terrorising them all on that plane.

Absolutely.

Astonishing the report is from a third party but no one seems to have helped or intervene
Being stuck in the plane must have been terrifying.

Stating your opinion aggressively doesn't make it fact. If you've any experience of parental alienation other than being the perpetrator you'd know that wasn't true. Misandry is as unpleasant as it's opposite.

CrazyMidget · Yesterday 07:38

That report was leaked in 2022 by her to make Pitt look bad. The FBI decided not to charge Pitt in consultation with the U.S. Attorney. The LA DCFS (Department of Children and Families) also declined to charge him.

So that's THREE government agencies that decided not to charge him. Know why? Because her statement was a pack of lies, unsubstantiated by the pilot and flight crew. In that report, there is no mention of any of the flight crew or pilot trying to calm him down or telling him to sit down. We're supposed to believe that this huge, physically violent multi-person brawl took place and there is no part of the account that has any of the crew intervening at any point? And it's against aviation law not to control situations like that in the air.

She probably exaggerated so much in order to have the report up her sleeve to leak it when she needed to make him look bad, which she duly did in 2022. That's where that report comes from.

And after that report was released, he reiterated that things did not become physical. Which chimes with why there's no record of the pilot telling him to sit down and belt up, no communication with air traffic control to say there was a brawl on the plane and where can they land, and why the FBI, US Attorney General, and the LA DCFS all agreed not to charge him.

And yet the credulous among us lap up the purple prose and believe every word of it.

Because it's not a third-party's report.

It's AJ's pack of lies, conveniently waiting to be leaked when she wanted to. As she did, in 2022.

I have asked this question. His crappy behaviour has been tolerated because he brings in money $$$$ for a lot of people and is protected by some powerful players in Hollywood.

I also don’t believe the St Angelina narrative. There is a type of IPV where both parties are heavily dysfunctional and usually have drug and alcohol on board. However because the female is a lot smaller they are a lot more at risk.

He had an end of marriage drunken bust up with his wife. Not great but hardly the crime of the century.

Sort of agree with this as me and my ex husband (who was the gentlest man on the planet to be fair) and a massive explosive and physical bust up under the influence in the middle of our divorce. It happens. I wouldn’t call him abusive for that.
