Why hasn’t Brad Pitt been cancelled?

Why hasn’t Brad Pitt been cancelled? I don’t even really pay attention to celebrity news but I see occasional things that he’s divorced, alcoholic, was abusive to his wife and children, children don’t want his last name, etc. Especially because his ex (Angelina Jolie) seems to be idolised for her beauty and humanitarian work. It’s not like people don’t like her!

Is Brad Pitt just too handsome? What’s the deal?

It’s a story as old as time, he well and truly had karma bite him on the ass. Bet he wishes every day he had children with someone normal.

cosimarama · 28/07/2026 00:13

Money is the reason, OP. He’s got decades of blockbuster potential ahead of him. Add the name Brad Pitt to a cast and the film will be worth so much more. So it’s not in Hollywood’s interest to cancel him. Hasn’t there just been a film about Michael Jackson! If it can brush away his many sleepovers with kids and CSA allegations to make cash, Brad Pitt will get a pass on drunkenly terrorising his wife and kids.

Also I think if my husband was asleep drunk after that he'd abused my kids, I wouldn't be waking him when the plane landed so he could do it again! I'd be out of there with them before he could get up.

TBF I loved Jolie in Malificent. Favourite film I watched with the kids and would watch on my own.

She definitely had issues. She write her first husband's name in blood on her t-shirt at their wedding and that was before the blood vials with Billie Bob.

My mother hated my father after he left her, denied access, screaming at him on the doorstep when he was allowed to take us out, she later moved without telling him and we never dared bring him up in her presence. I lost contact with him for 30 years. Asked for her blessing to meet up with him and she cut me off! Parental alienation is definitely a thing.

You are projecting

Eurgh…I was obsessed with him as Jordan Catalano

Yeah they do have authority just like a yacht captain has authority on a yacht. You are very naive to think that they will use their authority over their essentially boss or a private charter millionaire client

I can only think they might have had to...maybe they would have lost their job/licence if they didn't report it.

On the other hand, I can totally see private jet pilots not reporting the shady behaviour of their clients, so who knows...

  • NONE of Brad Pitt's many previous girlfriends, fiancees, or wives have ever said that he was abusive to them. His current girlfriend, who he's been with for some time now, doesn't seem to have any complaints either.

I couldn’t give a shit about Brad and AJ but this absolutely does not mean a man isn’t and won’t be abusive to a particular woman. My ex beat me black and blue and served 4 years in prison for it. The defence brought in witness statements from previous ex’s to try to prove good character but that didn’t matter. It didn’t mean he didn’t abuse me.

It’s also a pretty dangerous narrative to push because it will make women who are currently being abused question if that is really what’s happening to them, or if they deserve it if their partner has no history of abuse. Abusive behaviour starts somewhere.

Yes, I think Amber Heard behaved badly but I also think Depp was probably abusive. And I don't think the fact he was apparently OK to Winona Ryder, Vanessa Paradis etc necessarily precludes that.

You're conveniently ignoring all the common sense in my posts and the questions I raise, but if calling me names makes you feel virtuous, you do you. Have a nice day.

ETA: You know perfectly well that I'm not criticising AJ for the number of men she's slept with. I'm questioning the character of someone who goes for taken men. The fact that it's their fault for cheating doesn't mean she's not also of bad character for repeatedly going after them. You're just ignoring my many points in order to further your agenda, which is - as you admitted - to automatically believe all women.

I hope calling me a misogynist gave you a fuzzy warm glow.

As for being stupid, I think it's pretty stupid not to address my many concerns about AJ's report, but instead to just repeatedly call me the M word. Stupid people can't absorb points and respond to them, but just name-call.

Edited

Calling people ‘stupid’ is name calling.

It does seem strange that this documentary (watching it now) has been made about Jared Leto but not a murmur about Brad Pitt. Why isn’t Jared Leto being protected in the same way?

I think we need to be careful around mixing up accusations just because someone is famous.

Leto and Brand have been accused by numerous women of sexual assault.

Brad Pitt has been accused of having an argument with his wife on an aeroplane where he allegedly poured beer over AJs head.

Those are two sets of very very different situations. Pitt was an alcoholic arsehole by the sounds of it but not a sexual predator

If you are watching it then why are you finding it strange? Why do you think Jared should be protected?
One reason is that now not the shining star he used to be, his recent films are failures and he's probably less likely to have people backing him. But the rumours about him have been around for years and years. Presumably BP has not been doing the same stuff so clearly no one is going to make a documentary about it, you'd think it's pretty obvious 😂😂😂

Brad Pitt now drinking again after being in AA and sober for seven years. Not good. Given his notoriety and past behaviour I suspect there will be more to come from this

Daysgo · Yesterday 20:02

Because cancelling people is ridiculous, virtue signalling and nothing more by people obsessed and jealous of people especially celebrities.
