Imagine the outrage if it came out that 22% of claimants of benefits like PIP or the like were millionaires.

Just have a think what happens if you means test pensions. It’s a benefit you have a right to after a certain level of contribution. Where would you have the cut off?. PIP isn’t means tested either.
You have to claim it though. Maybe he hasn’t.

PIP is also a non means tested benefit, it doesn’t stretch credulity too much to expect some disabled claimants live in properties valued at £1million.

The worst day’s work Osborne ever did was classify the state pension as a benefit, it’s distorted all the stats and caused endless vilification of people who have had the temerity to get old and legally claim the pension they paid decades of NI to qualify them for.

Some of that 22% are millionaires on paper because of the high value of property in some areas, I think? Happy to be corrected on this.

This is my entire point.

You should not have a right to a state benefit. Nobody should. Especially not when you’re a millionaire. People go after PIP claimants, universal credit claimants, anyone else on benefits. But for some reason the 22% of state pension claimants who are millionaires escape criticism every time
