Met him at Lord's not long after the ridiculous bacon sandwich photo. He was lovely.

He is also very bright and a unifying figure in Labour. I couldn't give a stuff what the current crop of Tories think of him

Me too. Really like him.

Quite often the people who despise Miliband can't ever really explain why. Which is interesting.

A more rw chancellor in a socially progressive cabinet might be workable. The converse less so.

Their brains will explode if Miliband becomes chancellor. They will be screaming about the IMF etc.

By the same token there are people who can't praise Farage enough, for no real reason.

Don't give a shiny what the right wing press or MSM say about Labour, they simply work to engender fear and clickbait - if it bleeds it leads.

If no one listens to them, the revenue will drop.

Which is why it's unlikley.

Whoever is chancellor won't be able to address parliament until September. Which is a long time to leave the markets - who we already know can't be trusted - to imagine things.

Met him three times and he always remembered me. Mind you it was for social events to raise money.

I have always wished he had not stepped down in 2015.

Miliband was absolutely right about the devastating effects of Brexit and urged David Cameron in debates not to do it.

Another Miliband fan here. Really hope he manages to shine in this cabinet.

I think the great communicator thing is largely based on his one to one engagement with people, and on his responsive communication. Reacting with passion to the things others have done is a different thing to setting out his own stall. He's been a fighter against the powers that be so far, and that requires a different communication to being the power that is.
I think when he can fully divulge what he's going to do about something he'll be better.

Has the incoming PM ever given a job straight away to the outgoing one? I would really have liked KS to be recognised and given FS.

Another who really likes Ed Milliband & hope he continues to shine in cabinet.

Genius move for Mahmood and Miliband to enter Downing Street together - she has exceptionally shiny hair, I couldn't stop looking at the sun hitting it. I wonder, as there have been no announcements, there will be a full cabinet published at the same time to show team unity.

Or Miliband and Mahmood in a job-share? That'd shake things up. ( half serious)

Agree he would be outstanding, not sure he would accept at the moment possibly a bit more down the line, whatever he decides to do I wish him peace & contentment.
