I think that any link to the Iran War thread ought to be accompanied by the disclaimer that a poster who is very thin skinned and likes to have the last word control the narrative is on it and has form on having posts deleted at the slightest whiff of an adverse comment, yet is constantly trying to provoke our informed and saintly@RedTagAlan. 😄

I ain't no saint, So I demand you retract that :-)

However, in the words that Picard did not say... "Do not engage "

I think, as a deep thought, for I am supping a can of ale, branches that fall from trees do sort of bury themselves. Because the leaves from the mother tree fall on top of it. So philosophically, leave it to nature ?

logicisall · Yesterday 16:08

I'm all for leaving it to nature. Exposes the brain power, or lack thereof, in the end. A bit like how Trump is exposing his. When every cell in his body is straining to monetise or mould everything in his own image, it's no wonder he appears to have dementia now.
Shame he doesn't drink so can't experience the joy of a cold beer on a hot day.

I'll restate my view that there is nothing really wrong with Trump.

The go-to quote for this sentiment :

"He's been dying of the same heart attack for 20 years"

especially as Lee Strasberg gave Trump acting lessons back in the 70s.

I think part of the problem in the UK has been the mixing of local and national politics. The last thing that would help would be to further confuse the two.

I mean I want my local councillor to get my bins emptied competently and on time and get the roads passable and the schools working. Fuck what their opinion on Gaza or blokes in dresses. What's that got to with my street ?

Unfortunately my "street" is an A-road over whose maintenance my local councillor has no control as far as I know. And it is chocka with potholes; at one point a stretch of it had warning notices posted to let us know it was a "failed road surface". The potholes were patched; they are now patching the patches once the holes are more than four inches deep and eighteen inches wide or long.

But on the bright side, I bet there is no dog poo ? . Sorry, that was a local joke where I used to live. Dog poo was a national issue.

But it just so happens I have a photo I clipped yesterday to send to a group chat I am in. Sorry to go off thread. Local councilors were caught using the new fangled AI to fix things.

When reform UK refers to Clean Up Britain Day I'm not sure they know it's litter picking they're signing up for...

My street is an A road and our local councillor and the council have control over the resurfacing, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, signage and road markings.

The councillor has also indicated that she can influence where the utilities (always water so United Utilities 🙄), do the repairs.

They might just use AI photos to show they have met their targets ?

I can't open that, but I get the gist... and feck me, my foil hat is in the bin. That makes sense.

Shock Browder's highlighting that Graham was heavily involved in US sanctions against Russia, had just returned from Ukraine where Russian agents are active, and Russia has a history of poisoning adversaries with poisons which can look like heart attacks.

As he says, it's therefore vital to do tests to rule out foul play.

I completely agree with Browder.

Hope for the best, but check for the worst.

Can you even begin to imagine the metal gymnastics Trump would need to do to cover this up ?

My money is on an umbrella with a spike on the end, just as he arrived home. Or a powder on a door handle.

Russians killed an innocent UK citizen on UK soil to a loud chorus of fuck all.

E2A: I mean even if it transpires that they stayed in one of Nigel Farages houses. (Which is at least 5 times more likely than them staying at my house on a numbers basis alone),

Bill Browder out with an interesting conspiracy theory on Graham...

And, while I doubt there's anything to it, this is weird.

My favourite response on that Bluesky link was "Why hasn’t Mitch made a statement about Lindsey?" 😂

There was plenty said about that.

Yeah,,,, that just pushed me over the edge. Actually laughing at my laptop :-)

I should have been more precise. There was a lot of jaw jaw and nothing else. Certainly nothing to stop them doing it again.

Hunter Biden has taken the high road. Good for him.

TooBigForMyBoots · Yesterday 20:13

Maybe the Russians hit Mitch first but then had to take out LG because of the cover up.

Could explain why Mitch's missus is hiding out in China, instead of being at his bedside.🤔
