Thanks for new thread @Spandauer
My opening post is to ask, what sort on non Binface logic is this?. From CNN;
"President Donald Trump announced that he would not be leaving Turkey aboard his new, Qatari-gifted jet. Instead, he’s flying from Ankara to England’s Mildenhall Air Force Base aboard “the former Air Force One.”
One source familiar with the matter who privately raised questions to CNN about the capabilities of the new aircraft in international settings.
But Trump suggested in a post to social media that the change in planes was simply to give US service members stationed at Mildenhall in the United Kingdom “a chance to tour the Aircraft.”
“Everybody is so excited, and we thought that they should be the first,” he wrote.
He continued: “For old time’s sake, we’ll be taking the former Air Force One, from Turkey to Mildenhall, a short trip that is totally worth doing in order to give our Great Military Heroes a chance to appreciate our beautiful new addition to the Air Force Fleet!”"
So he is using the real AF1, not the new one, to "give US service members stationed at Mildenhall in the United Kingdom “a chance to tour the Aircraft.”
Cool. Bit of history and all that. But wait.
For old time’s sake, we’ll be taking the former Air Force One, from Turkey to Mildenhall, a short trip that is totally worth doing in order to give our Great Military Heroes a chance to appreciate our beautiful new addition to the Air Force Fleet!”
Huh ? Why can't he start a sentence and finish it without contradicting the start at the end.
So he is taking the old one to show them his new one?
I checked by the way. Mildenhall to Clacton is 67 miles. Oh, and the US have 2 of the VC-25A Jumbos in service. So he is showing them one of the official ones. Does he know he flies on 2 different original ones ?
