It's not lunchtime yet, so today just celery with my breakfast.

Yesterday, celery at breakfast (with high protein cream cheese). Lunch was a beef and vegetable soup, but to be honest there wasn't much of either in it, followed by an apple. Evening meal was a corned beef salad (lettuce, tomato, red pepper, spring onion) with a jacket potato. It was a VERY big salad.

Well, I spent the weekend abusing my system (and I've really tried hard to keep off the carbs in a desperate effort to try and look less apple-shaped this summer). I baked for an event and then ate a couple of slices, then I went to a party and drank several glasses of wine and gorged on carbs to try and curb the effects of the booze (this happens maybe twice a year and Sunday was my twice-yearly hangover!). Yesterday I was hungover and ended up eating a small portion of chips after swimming.

Today is Monday! We start afresh! Grin I've had a small bowl of cherries, some raspberries, and an orange for breakfast. Aiming to swim and have a salad and protein based lunch.

Breakfast. Gooseberries and blackcurrants, both raw. They are dessert gooseberries, not those a usu ones from school! I’m eating from the garden at the moment.

Better start today: only breakfast so far:
grapes,
blueberries,
strawberries,
raspberries
rhubarb
red berries (as a compote with the rhubarb)
mixed seeds

lunch likely to be some kind of meal deal with low veg content

dinner is veg lasagne:
onion
garlic
courgette
pepper
mushroom
aubergine
tomato
spinach

TheIdlerReturns · 06/07/2026 11:29

Blueberries raspberries and cranberry juice. I'm going to have courgette from the garden later, mushrooms, probably peas put into some kind of rice dish.

Letmebeeee · 06/07/2026 12:59

I just made a vegetable soup - potato, onion, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms and it is very nice.

As post is dated yesterday I ate: tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, salad, chick peas, quinoa, spinach, picked onions. The last bits from Lidl’s Raku Smokey Chicken Salad which is just sooo yummy. I try and eat about 7 or so vegetable portions a day and maybe one fruit

Sunshineandgrapefruit · 06/07/2026 18:54

Banana, goji berries, raisins, orange, cucumber, spinach, rocket, lambs lettuce, onion, garlic, tomatoes so far ....

ParsonMaybold · 06/07/2026 18:57

I’ve had a cold sausage leftover from a barbecue yesterday for lunch.

I’m going to eat the leftover coleslaw for dinner. Not a very nutritious day.

WeddingInvitation · 06/07/2026 19:01

Oats for breakfast
a tomato in a sandwich at lunch
sausage pasta for tea with token salad

not my finest day….

JuniorMint14 · 06/07/2026 19:03

Compote at breakfast with apples and berries, spinach, peppers, courgette, tomatoes, an apple and a banana. Might have a nectarine or some mango later on. Pretty typical day for me, I do try to have more veg when I can but it doesn't always happen!

BillieWiper · 06/07/2026 19:05

Gawd, does wine count? I crammed in some dark chocolate truffles earlier so a coco bean?
🤣

spideysmumma · 06/07/2026 20:33

Frozen blueberries, red onion, corn on the cob and a few strawberries and cherry tomatoes whilst staring into the fridge wondering what to make the kids for tea

TakeThatAndParty81 · 06/07/2026 20:33

Tomatoes (lots), lettuce, coriander - onions - spring onions - chives 1 - no fruit …

66babe · 06/07/2026 20:48

I’ve had pea shoots , beetroot , tomatoes, cucumber , red onion and some ham
I’ve had a banana , 2 kiwis and some strawberries in some yoghurt plus 2 satsumas
I would say I’m feeling quite pleased with myself but I’ve also ate a whole share bag of really cheap nasty crisps - Vindaloo crunchy sticks from Aldi ( highly recommend) and some tiger bread toast
