God that was so brave of her. I liked the way other MPs comforted her and Starmer's compassion.

I wish politics could be like this more often.

Agreed.

The personal is political.

I was really hoping you’d find us. It’s really nice to have you here.

ETA Maybe I could cram more “really”s in if I tried!

It is nice to come back in here after arguing on some threads! Or just to hide in here when you can’t face it.

Hollie Ridley, Labour’s general secretary and a Keir Starmer ally, is to step down this autumn after two years in the job, saying it's right for the party's NEC to pick a general secretary “to work alongside a new leader once they are elected”.

Crisis-hit Farage recruits new comms chief to help him save Reform

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-mile-goslett-ashcroft-reform-crisis-b3007947.html

Mr Farage, who recently pulled out of an interview with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg at the last minute, is believed to be looking at his own channels on social media and a podcast to convey his message where he can avoid difficult questions.

His very own Truth Social?

Start up his own channel so he can be interviewed without being asked any awkward questions?

Sounds like an expensive solution.

Cheaper just to answer the questions.

Is GBeebies not working out for him any more?

BIossomtoes · 03/07/2026 15:39

Mr Farage surely doesn’t think his voters are going to subscribe to hear the views of a multi millionaire?

TemperanceWest · 03/07/2026 15:50

"The media distort what I say"

He is such a victim.

When will we know the outcome of the investigation into the £5m?

I'm sure they can find someone to read it to them.

And he has pictures too.

They’re not going to pay to subscribe whatever format he provides.

When will we know the outcome of the investigation into the £5m?

Was wondering exactly this too

PickAChew · 03/07/2026 17:20

Probably depends how far down the bottom of it is. Very low, I should imagine.
