Not exactly. It has been 182 days since last Christmas and is 181 days to the next one.

Half Christmas! (It’s an EastEnders thing 🙄)

MarmaladeSandwich7 · Yesterday 20:29

I’m already seeing Christmas stuff eg an ad for the panto at a local theatre! We’re in the middle of a heatwave!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · Yesterday 20:47

Which Christmas, though? 2027?

Glammabobra · Yesterday 20:59

My hubby is a professional Santa 🎅 so I hear this every year on 25th June. It could drive me crazy but for the whole of December I have a bit of peace and quiet while he's at work and I organise Christmas xx

Edited

182 + 181 does not equal 365.

In the past l have seen local supermarkets putting Christmas stock on their shelves before the end of August.

So only another 60 days or so.

Shop early for Christmas folks

How supermarket staff tolerate the constant blaring of Christmas tunes I'll never know. 😩I've decided to do online shopping this year until it stops.

Only a few short weeks until the shops have “back to school” and Halloween stuff in the shops, followed smartly by Christmas cards. A charity shop volunteer told me that unless they have Christmas cards for sale in August, they lose sales

I used to work at one of the big supermarkets. I was gobsmacked to find the warehouse full of boxed Christmas trees immediately after the August Bank Holiday!

I got given the same reason as you did - if they’re not available, people moan and go elsewhere.
Since then , I’ve looked for little festive additions in the stores from August onwards. One big clue is the arrival of the tubs of Quality Street, Roses, etc, piled up by the front doors. Another is the Dove, Nivea,& Lynx gift sets that appear early Autumn.

I don't mind soothing carols but there's only so much of 'Wizard' at full volume with 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday' one can take.
