Seriously though, spend all day exhausted then when I get into bed it’s so bloody hot I literally feel wide awake now.

Contemplated sleeping in my car tonight with the aircon.

Same here. Went into the garden thinking it'd be cooler by now. It isn't.

Opening my front door is akin to stepping out of a plane after landing in a tropical country.

I've had words with everyone in the house to leave the landing windows open, everyone agreed. Yet somehow they keep getting shut again. Every time I go past I open them, then the next time they're closed as if by some curse has been put upon them.

All the upstairs rooms are 35°

All I can think is who keeps doing this and why do they want to suffer?!

My pregnant daughter has had to come and stay at mine, for the last few days, as she could not cope with the heat in her 2nd floor flat.We have portable Aircon units in the bedrooms, and my husband set it too low ,I've woken up freezing!, He's snoring away and I'm going downstairs to warm up 🤣

Maybe had 2 hours sleep in total. The house is still unbelievably hot, a bit cooler outside now but my chair is wet after the storm. Haven’t slept for 3 nights now. I’ve been camped out downstairs the last 2 with the dog and 2 fans on blowing around 31C

stupidly put clean pillow cases on at 3 am, however i took the clean pillow cases from the airing cupboard!
aside from that i made it through

the bedroom windows were open all day until i got back at 3 pm,
then then left closed until i went to bed at 11.15 ish

Up now with all the doors and windows open and it’s lovely. Cool and fresh.
I live with my adult DC and they have all said Mum you MUST knock before you come in my room as I’m naked and starfished on my bed. We’re in a townhouse and the two on the top floor have it worst. My poor son works from home in his room too and has been red and damp for days now. Came down with a camping mat last night and laid on the kitchen floor 😢

Just heard that putting socks in the fridge helps too.

People get weird around windows don't they some people just cannot stand fresh air and open windows .I ve had this battle all my life ! t work and at home.

Someone closed the windows again after I went to sleep. I've woken up feeling like a prune.

I explained how the heat has left me feeling constantly dehydrated and ill and everyone was in agreement that they didn't want me to feel ill and yes the windows would stay open. If they'd said actually Jimmy it makes my ears/nose/joints sore can we work something else out I'd happily have said let's come up with the most insane homemade aircon solution or something. It's the feeling of being lied to that's given me the rage this morning.

Don't know if I've acclimated or if I'm just bloody shattered but 33° right now upstairs and I am just not bothered.

I feel like either I'm going to take a snooze or the snooze is going to take me.

DS is in bed with me and keeps pressing his sweaty legs on my sweaty legs though.

I’ve managed to turn the portable air con off (mostly due the constant drone has given me a headache) but there does seem to be a cooler flow of air coming through the window. Problem is, the house is still at a million degrees hot! So, whilst the fresher air flow is very welcome, at this point I just wish it would snow!

googling how to move to the arctic circle - are there any jobs in researching polar bears or something? I really do wish I loved this weather, but I just really hate it.

My period started earlier and despite me having my full full blast in my face I am SO HOT. I cannot get to sleep. This is awful. I hate the heat!!!
