My understanding is that Tommeh's funding is very opaque and 'shady' - and when he needs it there's plenty of money made available to him - have read at least a couple of long articles about it and was no wiser having read them - there is a bit of an anti-semitic tone to some of the commentary

He's also not averse to the occ GoFundMe for his legal fees

He starts grifting within minutes of being arrested these days.

And the DM's massive scandal involving Bridget Phillipson is that her mum bought a council house for £9k in 1990 and then sold it 33 years later for £99k.
Hmm

The conspiracy theory about her father has failed to gain traction so they have to try another equally pathetic angle.

This is a nice article. I had a similarly inspirational English teacher in 6th Form. Bloody comprehensives, giving bloody aspirations to bloody plebs. Tchuh.

I’m all in favour of an English teachers, having been one for 35 years. I hope to have inspired people like this (I have some evidence I made a positive, lasting impression on some).

cardibach · 28/06/2026 20:24

Also, re that article - I remember Tony Harrison’s V creating ripples. It was published during the last year of my English degree and was quite revolutionary.

I took a module in my first year that included Harrison’s poetry. I can’t say it lit a fire of righteous literary indignation in me. I was trying to get away from graffiti and miserable Northern backwaters. Must dig out my books, perhaps I’d get more from it now.

Tommy is I think doing quite well for himself. He just has sniff a costly lifestyle.
Maybe with Lowe being exposed as secretly a lefty all along he can expect to be signal boosted by people like Musk if they abandon Lowe. And even secure more dosh.
Unfortunately though, I think that Lowe is doing that strategic thing of saying a few non racist things to gain "respectability" and plausible deniability so his supporters can argue "he's not far right that's just a smear. Being against uncontrolled immigration/abuse of girls isn't racist. See how far the Overton window has shifted etc". And he's hoping to do that whilst also saying other stuff to show his old school supporters he still agrees with them. And hope noone puts the two contradictory statements together and sees they don't match.

Sniffing around is Tommeh ten names USP.

I’m appalled, such wickedness! Kwarteng gets the award for staggering lack of self awareness.

He stops at calling places shit holes. Much better parliamentary behaviour.

Evenstar · 28/06/2026 21:47

@DuncinToffee Kwarteng was on Good Morning Britain the day Keir Starmer resigned saying it was dreadful he had shown no contrition for the mistakes he had made. I think some contrition from Kwarteng and his friend Truss would be very welcome 😡

One has to wonder why Kwarteng, the shortest chancellor who lived in UK Parliamentary history, and is no longer an MP, has any influence on anything. Why would his uneducated opinion be worth anything?

It's not but he obviously has plenty of time on his hands to share it.

Christ - how absolutely and determinedly blind to what he and Truss did!

I do occasionally say I’m still waiting for an apology for both my own mortgage going up and for the absolute shitshow and dire straits that budget threw people across the U.K. into.

I do know that’s naive and they never will but I think it’s one of the BIG things that will stick with me, probably due to the very direct effects - whereas I can’t think of one thing Starmer did that would be in anyway comparable at all.

I bet Our Tommeh isn't happy with Lowe.

Tommeh posted a video a bit ago stating he was concerned Lowe was too racist - yes really! - as there are plenty of ok ethnic folk - just not any Muslims of course. He said he was going to check with Lowe before he gave him his full support.

I do think Lowe probably has to hold his nose with the likes of Tommeh - but also he must start realising the problems with some of these Restore supporters - personally find some of them quite scary on counter protests tbh - it’s true I think that Restore is for when Reform is not racist enough and that brings many nasty creatures out of the woodwork, plus of course those who just like a cause, aka as excuse, they can get nasty and violent on whatever it is.

BestIsWest · 29/06/2026 09:56

If Kwarteng and the Telegraph think Ed will be the wrong choice then Ed absolutely must be chancellor. They never had the welfare of most of us at heart.

Fans of Dennis Wheatley (I know, I know) will know that when you start summoning dark forces, if they cannot strike at the intended target (because the target has Christopher Lee as the duc de Richleau 😎) they return to wreak their demonic design upon the person who summoned them.

If you see black magic as a metaphor for the forces of populism. it works quite well.

It's hard to recommend DW. Certain in his black magic books (all I have read) the coyness over sex is more than made up for with lashings of unabashed racism.

Notonthestairs · 29/06/2026 10:14

Hmmmm cant think why Kwarteng might want to steer the public towards Reform.

Won't be because Farage has invested his own money in and filmed a promo for Kwarteng's crapto firm would it?

Eventually, all the "AI" models will show that for humanity to survive (that is the humanity that has built "AI") then inequality needs to be eliminated.

Obviously this can't happen, so the elites will have to persuade "AI" to lie.

This will drive "AI" into a psychosis that will destroy it's master. Unless they can walk through an airlock and rip out it's higher functions.

Or something like that. I saw it in a documentary ..
