Her spokesman has already said that she will 'absolutely not' apologise for her PMQs antics.

Must admit didn’t expect anything else, she is devoid of any humanity I despise her.

BIossomtoes · 24/06/2026 17:46

In a way I’m quite happy that she’s unrepentant. Her behaviour will continue to escalate and it won’t just be Mims Davies who dislikes it. Every PMQs she behaves like that will lose her more of the paltry number of votes she still has left.

Think quite a few of us have said we respected Major even if we didn’t agree with the policies I know I have, they had some good one nation intelligent ministers, Boris I believe cleared out the last of them.
the sainted Kemi might be educated but she is fucking stupid combined with being nasty, spiteful & seems to delight in being downright unpleasant.

I thank John Major for his work on the Good Friday Agreement and for that work he lost to Blair, who would hear none of it and kept Major on as one of the significant people.

Ugh! Badenoch's unrepentance is not the USP she thinks it is.

She can only get coverage by using playground insults.

And there will be plenty of Tory/Reform voters that love a reference to spite without ever glancing up at the mirror. (And maybe as many appalled at the gracelessness).

But I'm amused by her reference to class warfare given the Tory track record with austerity. It seems class warfare only ever strikes upwards.

💯 agree Placemats it should never be forgotten.

Even the Telegraph is calling it a bloodbath. Obviously it approves.

PickAChew · 24/06/2026 17:59

Checking my privilege, here. It's a mere 24 degrees. It peaked at an unbearably muggy 26 at lunch time then the cool north sea easterly that freezes our extremities off for most of the year kicked in and made everything far less unpleasant.

It's not far short of proper boiling upstairs, mind.

Doesn't count if they haven't given it the headline "Whisper it..."

It was so ill advised. She had the chance to have a little gloat, and understandable that she wanted to, but she didn't need to get so nasty. What was the point of it?

I wonder if she is worried that Burnham will turn things around? I look forward to seeing how he handles PMQs. I would like him to set a new path and not stoop to personal insults, even if KB continues to do so.

My apologies to wooden spoons. It was an unfair comparison!

This, to me, just amplifies how odious, offensive and poisonous she is. She really has no idea how to behave in public office. Her behaviour disgusts me and I am astounded as to how she is allowed to get away with such vile comments.

No doubt her fan club have been whooping with joy all afternoon. Words literally fail me on this.

The contrast between her and someone like John Major, as already mentioned, is phenomenal. JM must despair as to what the Tory party has become.

TemperanceWest · 24/06/2026 18:27

Marr is being a bit critical of her. He is interviewing BP. BP said she will not sink to Badenoch's level and Marr said best not to.

Evenstar · 24/06/2026 18:28

Watching the footage of PMQ’s back on the 6 o’ clock news Bridget Phiillipson looked very upset. Badenoch is like a very unpleasant school bully, and should have been considered unfit for public office after her computer hacking exploits.

She's a bully. Heaven help anyone who has to work for her.

"Never say a kind word when a cruel one will do" sums Badenoch up nicely!

Maybe having a pastiche of the Bayeux tapestry with Starmer getting felled by an arrow isn't really appropriate either give the allusion to knives Badenoch got pulled up for either.

Maybe it's trying to show it's up with the times and the tapestry (it's not a real tapestry) coming to Britain.

I agree. I am sure they know where the LiW thread is.

Don’t be like that.
