A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour* *government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

"Things can only get better" for Blair? I can't listen to it.

Yes I think the same idiot blared that when Rishi resigned.

For Starmer this really is what goes around comes around. I doubt he cared much when other PMs felt emotional about being forced out. Just eyed up power.

Nuthatch26 · Yesterday 09:49

Fantastic to watch! 😁😁😁

I have no sympathy for him. Cry away Bollard.
I hope he feels a bit of the turmoil he has inflicted on others.

I wanted bollard to go and Olly Robinson to get his job back. I’d love to manifest that. Seems to be working so far.

Also the ‘decent man’ line is bollocks. He threw anyone he could find under the bus and the rest.

Same - he’s off to a gold plated pension, I’m sure it hurts personally but he’s got his family to console him and he can enjoy the summer in peace. Unlike the people who have no jobs, are job hunting, round after round of rejection etc.

Ce on Reeves / she’s clearly jockeying to keep her job…

Ode to joy indeed!

He's a lying, self-serving weasel.

Indeed 😁
Perfect choice.

Hope the fact the King did it all over the phone rather than coming back to London isn’t a bad sign. I’ve been speaking to a few people who were at Ascot last week and have said he looked in pain at times.

Yes he was limping at times recently. Looking at his gait I'd say hip like me. He'll be able to get that sorted during his Balmoral break.

inkognitha · Yesterday 09:58

I would say good riddance if it was a change for the better...

I hope he's ok🤞

They're pushing Burnham to hit income tax and Vat.

Yes to Olly Robbins. I hope that happens. Keep manifesting!

No Starmer isn't a 'decent man'. No idea how anyone can say that after the last 23 months.

Though starmer was shit I'm really worried about what comes next.

Middlerage · Yesterday 10:07

I suppose the glimmer of hope is that they’ve only got three years left…but then look at what KS et al managed to announce, u-turn on etc in two years.

Can't disagree with that. We're living in "interesting times".

They can do a lot of damage in 3 years. If Ed gets into Number 11 we’re all screwed!

EasternStandard · Yesterday 10:34

Posters gunning for this thread. Who knew we were so influential and important.

Lurkers ahoy.

Middlerage · Yesterday 10:34

At that point we’ll have to start marching on Downing Street as part of the tax payers alliance….

We should charge for the amount of headspace our words are taking up for some 👋

I wonder if Labour will have a contest or a coronation?

A coronation is widely being talked about but that really does create poor optics around legitimacy, a mandate and a lack of democracy for Labour members.

CaveMum · Yesterday 11:11

Streeting just backed out of a contest.

Middlerage · Yesterday 11:13

I hope Streeting has number 11 and Reeves is shortly off to pastures book-y. fingers crossed!

Middlerage · Yesterday 11:16

If we trust the Labour Party to pick we’ll definitely get Ed…if any of us were bots number would’ve found out by now given the scrutiny. As for the threads starting immediately - that’s because Labour immediately started rushing in poorly thought out policy. Not hard to figure that one out.
