I was in Belfast in 2018. We had a great time and loved the people we met.
It's just so fucking sad.

• We dedicate ourselves to working with our neighbours, near and far, day in and day out, to build that peaceful society in which the tragedies we have known are a bad memory and a continuing warning.

This was brought to my attention recently. It's deeply disturbing that some posters cannot handle differences of opinion and will stalk you across threads. It makes me wonder how they present irl.

DH and I went into town today, it was full of people celebrating Pride. Went for a quick drink on the way home. It was lovely sitting in the sunshine, until two men sitting nearby started going on about migrants and a "war between civilisations" 🙄.

Nothing to do with Starmer or Belfast, but my local radio is making my heart sing.
Take That is playing Hampden and a busload of women were just on, overflowing with joy on going to the concert together, then some were flying out to Boston to support the Tartan Army. They were in perfect tune belting out 🎼"No Scotland, no party!!!"🎼
I feel for their heads tomorrow, but they are hardy Scots and let's hope they make their flights.

Ah lovely. When I lived in Belfast, that building was a symbol of oppression.

The best thing to do with that thread is to leave all the immigrant bashers to it. Let them egg each other on. They have gone well beyond expressing reasonable concerns.

There's only one reason the flags mob would select Brighton as a place for 'reasonable protest' and it's not to drum up support.

I had the bad fortune to see a video of Danny Thomas (Tommo) - too racist for raise the colours - he’s got a ‘patriot’ website you can join - to do patriotism like in the 50s 🤢🤬- but he has had to detail how to put your right country in the phone section, as people are doing this wrong - I mean they tell you not to be judgy but - that’s hard at times!

More than 15 years ago the EDL were coming to Brighton to march/protest/have a ruck with the police/disrupt local pubs in the evening and have a day at the seaside
