In what way? It's not really the point anyway is it?

Lovely statement just come through from Zelensky.

It's derxa's standard response to UvdL

Our other plopper, angliangirl, was new to mn and deregistered after their posts on here. Really odd behaviour.

Zelenskky

"Keir, thank you for all our cooperation, your support, and the joint decisions that have helped make our Europe and our protection of life stronger," President Volodymyr Zelensky said, adding that the outgoing prime minister would always be a "welcome guest in Ukraine."

"I wish the United Kingdom and all British people every success as well as the realization of your national goals. We have confidence in Britain."

I’ve been on MN for years and never name change. I can write posts on whatever thread I like within talk guidelines.

cardibach · 22/06/2026 12:50

Temperance didn’t suggest otherwise, @derxa
it you do always say you dislike vdL and I’m not sure you’ve ever said why - I haven’t seen it anyway. Not that you have to, obvs. Just an observation.

DuncinToffee · 22/06/2026 12:50

Russia is happy with the resignation.

I thought Temperance meant the poster who came to tell us that Starmer had resigned as the other plopper.

The phrase "be careful what you wish for" wrt AB springs to mind

Yes, I wasn't referring to derxa.

She only praised KS because he was moving toward the EU. Believe me I wish we had never left but a vote was held. I can’t really tell you why I don’t like her. She just seems totally insincere.

placemats · 22/06/2026 13:02

"I know just how hard it is to both hold and leave office, not just on those who held it but all those close to them too, as Keir rightly acknowledged today. He spoke with dignity and duty, and my thoughts are with him and his family.

I was proud to serve as Deputy as he led our party into government. History will remember not just the challenges he faced but the achievements he oversaw. I pay tribute to his record of dedicated public service."

Angela Rayner's statement.

Presumably arranging payment now for someone to torch Burnham’s car/house.

A vote was held and a decade later there's a multitude of polls suggesting that the UK rejoin.

Brexit hasn't worked. Re joining the EU is our only hope.

Hmmm a big job must have been promised I presume.

Or Streeting has realised that he has no chance of finding 81 Labour MPs to back a leadership bid from him.

BIWI · 22/06/2026 13:36

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband @Evenstar Flowers

Efacsen · 22/06/2026 13:37

wrt Starmer resigning as an MP - apparently his Holborn seat is under threat from the Greens and a pro-Gaza independent party and could easily be lost causing Burnham pain and embaressment - so more likely to not attend parliament that often

That's one opinion then

TemperanceWest · 22/06/2026 13:48

I see the Burnham-will-do xyz panic mongering threads started by new posters are already appearing.🙄

Piggywaspushed · 22/06/2026 13:49

BTW - Happy Windrush Day all.

I hope Burnham doesn't give him a job.

They are following the train's progress with a Sky helicopter

Seems entirely OTT

TemperanceWest · 22/06/2026 13:55

What an embarrassing circus this is.
