Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .

Ed Sheeran
Tea/Coffee - hot or iced.
Alcohol
Love island/any type of similar programme
Most of the shite on Netflix.
Travelling
The whole pride and rainbow crap. Be gay and be done with it- no need to announce it.
Game of thrones/Lord of the rings/Harry plopper
Hot weather.
All the glorified talentless ‘celebrities’. How embarrassing when you see a friend comment on a celebrities post like they’re gonna see it/acknowledge it 😂🫣😖
Instagram

ughh I could go on.

ET! 🤣it was so over hyped that I couldn't bring myself to watch it and still haven't 🤣
Have I missed anything????

I feel the same about Star Wars, can't bear to be in the same room if it's on, I've seen more Star Wars standing in the queues for the rides at Disney.

TartanTwit · 31/05/2026 21:43

Walkingonairdays · 31/05/2026 21:53

Also Shakespeare.

Which the GCSE cohort will probably agree with. 👀

Oh how I agree! I’m the same with Lewis Capaldi. I worked with a woman who used to play him in the office sometimes and i could quite happily have smashed her phone up. Obviously my problem, because nobody else seemed to bother.

Oh yes this! He sounds like he’s straining for a poop.

Football & caravanning. They're huge where I am, and at work last week I was laughed at for not dressing up in scarves etc then watching a big, annual game (we lost so all quiet Thursday....). I also prefer overseas holidays where they caravan somewhere then sit & drink, and think I'm crazy for booking overseas.

Most new tv shows. They're either limp, woke stories, or have ridiculous endings (looking at you Outlander) where were supposed to 'interpret it ourselves'. Or they cancel after a cliffhanger. I just want a show where something happens, and a clear ending!!

NeededANameChangeAnyway · 31/05/2026 22:09

Mrs Browns Boys
Musicals
Goats cheese
Olives
Sourdough
Creepy crawlies as pets (why???)
Tattoos

Dubai Chocolate

DrumsPleaseFab · 31/05/2026 22:19

Takeaways and food delivered (lukewarm greasy food that seems to taste nice at first but always always gives me raging heartburn and night thirst)

Festivals , sport events, football, anything with crowds (I just panic and worry about getting to the loo when the queues are huge)

getting drunk or any alcohol really (I wish I could get fun drunk but I just get the heartburn again 😅 and get nauseous, that is not what you want at a party 🥺)

basically the problem is ME I guess 😂

Reminds me of my ex DH. He used to take his father to his fathers social club and he said that the main topics of conversation where death and caravans. So who had died that week and who bought a new caravan. If someone bought a new caravan and then died well that was top chat, but dying IN the new caravan would be breaking news!!

Grey decor

Absolutely. Know someone with a super expensive apartment in a city. The apartment has a completely grey interior (including furnishings). Why drive a grey car, into a grey garage, go into your grey apartment and look across a grey road onto a grey building. They had young kids here but everything is spotless, minimal and grey. Price brackets would make it possible to swap for a townhouse with a garden.
