Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .

Wine, Prosecco, really I mostly just hate the taste of alcohol but I do drink it on odd occasions to be sociable and get drunk, though not really wine as I literally want to vomit it back as I swallow it.

U2??? Even the old stuff?

😆 yes! Just so whiney, I felt they never had the edge as the other rock band did back then.

To be honest, my issue with Lost in Translation wasn't that nothing much happens. I'm fine with films like that. It's the fact that the humour is racist/sexist/shit and the Scarlett Johansson character is so unbelievable and unlikeable - a Harvard genius who has inexplicably married someone she despises so she can sit around in her knickers sneering about him. Awful writing.

Coldplay. I cannot bear Chris Martin’s smug supercilious voice. I have to contain my hatred when it comes on the radio at work, because my colleagues think I’m weird

There’s a radio quiz called ‘Anything but Coldplay’ where the contestants can win a track of their choice ( or more if they’re good at it).

I agree that U2 are awful, even more smug than Coldplay, if that were possible.

Round-robin letters at Christmas and school reunions. Probably for similar reasons

Strictly

All these types of programmes, Bake Off, Britain's Got (No) Talent etc etc, all the 'reality' programmes, Stupid Wives of ....!
As far as musicals are concerned, when we went to see Phantom I pleaded with OH not to go back after the interval drinks, I was so bored, but he was a Yorkshire man and we'd paid to go in!

Oh god I nearly forgot about Halloween. What on earth is that about. I try to get into it for the kids, on a lighter level I just feel a dick dressing up but more than anything I find trick or treating so dangerous, it sends completely the wrong message to kids and must be awful for elderly living alone. It’s a pain in the arse.
