Just for fun so no sarcasm or nastiness please .
My friend and I went to see a West End musical this week . I was really looking forward to it . Great reviews . Celebrity cameos . Camp and fun . Seemed right up our street .
We both hated it . We were turning to each other with puzzled looks and raised eyebrows (we've known each other forever and have very similar tastes so no words needed) .
The audience seemed off their tits to be honest . Screeching at every unsubtle innuendo . Shouting responses to the actors . It was like a really bad hen do .
We left at the interval .
My point is that everyone else seemed to be having a great time . The staff who opened the doors to allow us to leave at the interval were incredulous . I quote : "Are you not enjoying it ?!"
Well no , we weren't . We thought it was shit .
This is a show that is up for lots of awards and has had so many positive reviews .
Have you ever hated something that everyone else seemed to love ?

Matcha

I loathe matcha too. It’s like drinking rancid grass. Vom.

Going out for breakfast
The Royale Family (TV show)

I can't think of much worse than 'going out for breakfast'. I just want to be left in peace in the morning. The Royle Family - bunch of scuzzy gits I can smell that house from here!

Pizza is the most overrated load of bollocks.

Most Italian food is. Overpriced, lazy bollocks. I am a chef. Pizza costs pennies to make and so does pasta.

Loubissou · 30/05/2026 20:04

Hamilton. Absolute dross.
Baked beans. Revolting slimy fuckers.
Lifting weights. Dull dull dull.

Plus quite a few others I have scrolled past.

GinToBegin · 30/05/2026 20:05

Goodfellas. Hated every single thing about it, found it too long, loathed the acting, particularly Joe Pesci squeaking ‘fuck’ every other word (and didn’t he win an Oscar?), just loathed it. I appear to be in a minority of one, and have no fucks to give.

And if you go to Bella Italia they think it's acceptable to serve kids' portions to adults!

Mightymighty · 30/05/2026 20:08

Coffee! I’ve hated the smell of it since I was a child and I’ve only tasted it a few times. Anything with a coffee flavour is YUCK.

The Office....I just dont get it, even though I like every other series Ricky Gervais has done.

I love the UK Office. I've been told the US version is even better though I've never got round to watching it. I'm hoping it's a bit like Superstore

Thebinisrightthere · 30/05/2026 20:13

Your Song by Elton John. I can't belive that piece of amateur drivel launched his career! I like most of his other stuff though but I can't forgive that one

FrostyMorn · 30/05/2026 20:24

I've never met anyone who likes Mrs Brown's Boys so it's baffling that the BBC keeps renewing it - unless it's for 'balance'??

Also hated the Book of Mormon. Jokes not edgy, just extremely poor taste imo.

Just to answer it, the US office is (IMO) superior to the British one. Absolutely hilarious.

Just like Superstore (but I’d probably skip through quickly season 1 which is trying too hard to copy our one)

Mousespoons · 30/05/2026 20:46

Truffle flavour (oil etc)
