Heard of him? Probably not, because there seems to be an almost complete news blackout about him. Basically the police handcuffed him and let him bleed out because they thought he may have said something racist - he didn't, it was a lie told by his murderer. Henry was 18.

Well when Henry said “ I’m dying,” the reply from police was “ I don’t think you are mate!” Sounds pretty jokey to me….

Plus utter failure to investigate child rape gangs due to fears about being seen as racist and “community cohesion”

I really hope this opens up more discussion about people carry religious weapons. For example they are usually allowed them in school which personally I think is crazy

Until reading this case, I was unaware that they were able to. It’s mind blowing actually and if they weren’t allowed to, Henry would be alive today.

I agree. Nobody should be carrying dangerous weapons in the name of religion.

There has been a murder conviction and there is a full police investigation as to what happened . It has been all over the news. Its the usual racist rage without anyone knowing the full facts. The police may have screwed up but we will find out all the facts. I doubt the police went in with any predujice , just didnt work out what was going on

Yes, I think the authorities are afraid of upsetting 'community cohesion'. Like with the 2 thugs at Manchester Airport, hundreds turned up to throw rocks at a police station in Rochdale. The police a very wary of doing anything that will inflame community tensions and that has impaired their judgement.

You see this mentality a lot in the public sector: the need to appease the groups who will make the biggest fuss. But if people are not treated fairly, it creates more problems.

I heard about this week due to the sentencing but don’t remember hearing about it at the time it happened.

Would it though? Did every other murder by stabbing which happened in December get reported in the national news? This particular one was widely reported locally.

He hasn’t been sentenced yet, and when he is I hope it’s for life, meaning life!
