A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙* *

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Horrible comments. Is there any need for it?

It’s just a bit of fun!

Unrivalled · 13/05/2026 12:28

I clocked the pink suit on Reeves and thought is it a sort of 'I will wear that purple with red hat' Swansong type outfit...we can only hope.

MNLurker1345 · 13/05/2026 12:29

I have got to work and you lot are just making me laugh. My DH can hear me, he’s down stairs and is wondering what is going on.

Your words, not mine.

MPs are now back in the Commons and I am having a coffee and playing ‘Where’s Wes’ 😋

Haha.
Count me in.

I might have had some sympathy with that question if Labour posters hadn’t spent years attacking how Johnson, Truss and Sunak - among other Tories - look and dress.

I once commented on how I liked a dress that Samantha Cameron was wearing and got s while load of vitriol from the (NCT group) Lib Dem types about the Tories -like you have to like or dislike clothes based on tribal allegiances😂.

Edited

I like your thinking. She looked very chipper chatting and laughing with Mel Stride too.
Could be.

the clock is ticking now - Streeting expected to resign tmrw being widely reported. She probably goes if Keir goes...unless she's cut a deal with Yvette C or another faction. Fascinating...

I think the comments are bang on, and very much needed!

And maybe finally a relief. She has always been ridiculously out of her depth in the job and must have been hugely stressed constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop … much easier to deal with despair than hope…

Yes Liz Truss particularly was constantly insulted based on her looks, how she spoke etc.

Of course. Kemi gets a huge amount of vitriol on here too from a few.

Unrivalled · 13/05/2026 12:43

Reeves probably already has the first draft of her memoir ready to go...'the truth behind the tears' etc. etc. I did read Rayner wants to abolish all private schools, because she believes that would be best for our children. Hollow laugh...

TheNoWord · 13/05/2026 12:46

Commons back at 2.30pm. I’m taking the dogs out now and will resume WesWatchGrin on my return.

If there is a reshuffle, DurableDog would like the energy portfolio as she is of the opinion we could power the country if we could harness the power from tail wagging dogs. Makes as much sense as Net Zero.

DelicateDog will be Chancellor as she always knows if she has been short changed on her biscuit allocation. Adds up better than Rachel ever did.

SionnachRuadh · 13/05/2026 12:47

Most of the cabinet looked pretty morose. Except for Jonny Reynolds, who seems very chirpy. Maybe he's happy at the thought of not being chief whip for much longer.

Yes, I’d overlooked the unpleasant comments about Badenoch’s dress sense.

Honestly it's like being back at school. The mean gang out in force.

Bit rich coming from the left, who think that even the wives and children of politicians are fair game.

"One extravagant theory floating around this afternoon is that Starmer could sack Streeting today and even suspend him from the PLP for undermining the King’s Speech. He’d be ineligible for nomination to the leadership. The chaos and paralysis would keep Starmer in place for a while longer. That seems far-fetched. But anything can happen in The Rickety Coup…"

What Happens Next...

Wes Streeting is going to resign tomorrow and challenge Keir Starmer for the leadership. The news broke in the Times 45 minutes before the King's speech.

Well he’d better get a move on then. Sprint to wherever he has to go, unlock that phone and type.

WS that is, bollard will use anything.
