Does anyone dislike David Attenborough

I’m just wondering if there is anyone who dislikes David Attenborough.

I genuinely think he’s one of the very few people that everyone likes.
No matter how old, what class, what culture etc all I’ve ever heard is how much they love him.

It’s his 100th birthday today and if you google his name you’ll see.

I thought I’d do a poll incase anyone was too afraid of admitting they don’t like him 🤣

Really liked him til teacher DD1 came across him on a school trip to Kew Gardens around 10 years ago. He was filming and being rude and nasty to his crew and Kew Gardens staff. DD was so disappointed, as were all the year 10 kids with her, who saw and heard him shouting. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

Anyone who dislikes David Attenborough, give your head a wobble! How can anyone possibly dislike him?!

I agree with others posters that your poll is all off @Butterme You said 'does anyone dislike him' in the thread title, and then put a poll on saying 'do you like him?!'

You will get a few people saying that they have met him in real life, (or someone they know has,) and he wasn't very 'nice,' was 'rude,' was 'obnoxious' etc... You always get a few posts like that on these threads from people claiming they have met said celebrity (or someone they know has) and they didn't like them....... 🙄

Anyway I dislike his voice. He could be an absolute Angel but, for me, his programmes are unwatchable.

Anyone who dislikes him should just get off the planet to be honest. I've watched him since I was a child, I still watch his programmed and my daughter now ADORES his programmes. He is a National Treasure, and I hope he's having a fantastic birthday 🥰

We was just having this conversation in our household earlier about whether there is people out there who actually dislike him?! We think he’s great in our household

I have no feelings either way. I’m indifferent.

He’s a natural treasure to me… when I was a child he bought places, wildlife and animals I had never seen into my world…we had a black and white television but it was engaging and it’s same today but obviously in colour 😂

A few of my mates on Bute hated the guts of his bro, Richard, if that helps. But no, everybody likes wee David.

Not that many people use their privilege to campaign for wildlife, though.

Neither privilege nor age are a crime. As for what's to like, he has been vocal in support of saving nature and animals. That alone says a lot about someone

He used to trap and take wild animals to be kept in zoos. I know that was what happened back then, but it just makes me feel sad.

Ive never felt particularly fond of him. I don’t watch his programs as they bore me senseless.
