I left that role in 2008 so a while back. We were all on around £28 k then and she earned slightly more as a team leader. I remember asking her what on earth that cap would do for aspiration, people wishing to move into higher paying but vital roles like doctors etc but she was absolutely certain that no-one needed to earn more.

I didn't ask her if she gave her own salary over her arbitrary threshold to charity.

Yes some angry, upset people around taking it out on here.

I think even the potential ploppers realise they would get owned - they seem content to reside in their bubble of denial, whilst barking at the moon.

Let them own their defeat for once.

The basic mp salary from April 2026 is £98,,599. I didn't realise it was that high. No wonder they're flapping like hens, desperately toeing the party line.
