I am working from home the past few weeks and my desk is at the front of the house beside the window. My next door neighbour does not work, has no car, has no kids and I never see friends popping in to see him either yet about 20 times a day he leaves the house and comes back all in under maybe 10 mins per time. We do not have shops close enough for him to be going to so it is not to there and he is not gone long enough to exercise and has no dogs to walk just in and out the whole time all day. Baffling to me. Irritating too cos my ring doorbell goes off each time too.

Totally pointless thread cos nobody can know where he is going but jesus h christ its sooooooooooo many times a day. My dog barks every single flipping time too. Yes I will be happy to be back in the office next week!

I don't know know what happened, but the comment posted incorrectly somehow on my phone.

I went for walks like that after I was sexually assaulted to build up my courage to venture further.

It was also physio for the damage done to my bladder and other parts in the assault. Not a single person except DH knew why I was doing it how I did.

Short bursts of walking definitely suggests physio or needing to get out for a bit for health (mental or physical) reasons

Maybe he's bored and just wants to take a few minutes out in the world a few times a day?

I would just assume he’s smoking or vaping but doesn’t want to do it in the house, and since he has nothing better to do, he takes a little walk.

I’m out of work due to cancer and though I don’t smoke, I do have a little loop I do.

I'd say he's walking round the block for a cigarette.

Maybe he offers adult services in the bushes of local park / public toilets.

My initial thought was drug dealer! There is someone on my street who nips out and meets cars on the next street, leans in to chat for max 5mins then goes back home!

There was a drug dealer in the flats a short walk from mine, and he dealt next to the churchyard where I do voluntary gardening. He'd be out there again and again on his pushbike, 10 mins, 20 mins apart waiting to sell, meet ups arranged online I presume. My money is on drugs, he doesn't work, he needs money from somewhere.

He'd get arrested for that.. and 20 times a day? Jesus.

Dealing I would understand only I know his nephew is the local cocaine dealer and he provides neighbbour with ample amounts. Again it really is a closed off place, fairly affluent etc. Not that drugs dont exist but people who take drugs in a low key way. I started thread out of boredom when waiting on a report to load in work but now I am actually wondering for real myself what is going on.
