I’ve not watched her speech but imagine it’s to get her side of the story in before something bigger breaks in the near future!

Although how she can remain married to that turd is beyond me.

A lady that was detained by ICE Amanda Ungaro has on X been saying she is going to reveal all about Melania, she claims to have been close to Melania and her family for a few decades.

I think Melania spoke up before Amanda revealed all.

These are screenshots of the tweets, no idea what’s her beef with Melania but it stems from losing her teen in a custody battle which her ex husband used ICE to detain her so he could get custody.

The first thought I had is how easy it is to make a statement about absolutely any old thing you want once inside the whitehouse!

Possibly sees that the walls are coming down around trump and is making it known now SHE had nothing to do with anything even if and when it transpires dementia donnie did. Also possible shes planning on leaving him ahead of either him being impeached or flung in jail which is where the war crime wanker deserves to be.

MT is being sued because she threatened to.sue Michael Wolff but didnt. She tried her husbands oft used tactic as a way of silencing her detractors. She didnt sue because it would open her and Trump to being interviewed about their connections to epstein. If they have nothing to hide then that shouldn't be a problem. So its either she is lying, trump is lying, or both of them are lying ...I suspect it is the latter.

Trump has repeatedly been accused of being a pedo...he has never sued...the king of legal threats has never sued any one of his accusers.

MT also threatened to sue Hunter Biden for repeating the accusations made by Michael Wolff...he tore it up on camera laughing knowing full well it was never going to happen.

MT says that it is ruining her reputation...to ruin a reputation you need to have a good one to start with. She has aligned herself to a pedo, evil, narcissistic,grifting, thieving, pos ....so mrs ts reputation is.... to put it mildly...tarnished.

Because there was a criminal investigation underway and as I'm sure you know, evidence cannot be released while a criminal investigation is ongoing.

One of the first things that Trump did was cancel the criminal investigation - which meant that the case files could be released.

Maybe she's jist had enough of the nasty smears and rumours about her and has decided to speak up. Most of them based on the fact she's a beautiful woman married to someone people don't agree with and her 1st language isn't English.

After yesterdays speech English does not even seem to be her second language. It was dreadfully read.

She should just admit her main residence was in New York then she can go to court against Michael Wolff where she and her husband can be deposed and interviewed about all their dealings with JE. It would be an opportunity to clear the decks. If she has nothing to worry about then that should be an easy win.

I found the language intriguing 'I was never involved in any capacity'. That's very broad, it could allude to recruitment as well as being a victim.

I am an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher with over 30 years experience. Melania Trump read that speech beautifully. Her pronunciation was very good. The only mistake she made was mispronouncing the word “trivial.” It would also have helped if she had delivered the speech using a teleprompter, rather than looking down to read from written pages.

It is very common to never lose your native accent when you move to another country as an adult, even after 30 years like Melania. By that stage in life, speech patterns are already deeply established, which makes them much harder to change. Children, on the other hand, have very few difficulties adapting. They pick up accents easily because they are still developing all their language skills.

You mentioned that her speech “was dreadfully read,” which is an awkward use of an adverb. Surely you mean, “It was read dreadfully” a more natural way of saying the same thing.

That’s a ridiculous comment. Are you a linguist? A polyglot? A linguistics specialist of any kind.

I’ve lived in the UK and I would say that most averagely-educated Britons have quite mediocre spoken English, with questionable grammar and limited vocabulary. Are you one of these?
In any case, pot, kettle, black are the words that come to mind for the people on this thread criticising MT‘s English, reading or accent.

Yeah but MT got into the US under a 'genius visa' and claims to be a polyglot...but still needs interpreters for the languages she claims to speak.

Whatever she is up to she only said SHE was innocent she never mentioned if he was.

It's in 'the files'. Interviewed 3 or 4 times by the fbi, 'bizarrely' never brought to a conclusion one way or the other. Yes, I think place & time is very important here. We forget that NYC movers & shakers would have been at the same parties, events. Being in a photo with JE means nothing. Trump was hugely engaged in the social & business networks of the day, as were his spouses. No doubt he was pally with JE but to what extent?
