This is the terrifying thing. Absolutely nothing seems to be off limits.

Basically the US is totally in charge of who is allowed what. They decide and they may move the goalposts as to what they think is acceptable at any point. They also can decide to invade and take over anywhere they like just because they particularly fancy some natural resources that place has or some kind of potential military advantage they want.

Hopefully they will remove the mines from the strait and just open it back up.
