Tumps exact words today!

WTAF? That sounds like he is about to drop a Nuke!

How the hell has the world got here?

Trumps truth social posts sounds more like something that a dramatic gleeful tv presenter would say in a game show. Not something a world leader threatening to blow up an entire civilisation.

and do you know why he did ?

Not even Trump knows that.

TheseWordsAreMine · 07/04/2026 16:00

Amazingly there are no marches calling for all of this to stop. I guess we just aren't bothered by it or just dont believe a word that comes out of America anymore.

JHound · 07/04/2026 15:58

I mean in a world of armed bullies, I would want weapons to defend myself too.

i love your histroy of iran, and how you know why iran have always wanted nukes, you should write a book

i love how you debate, its always good to learn and understand your knowledge and points,

Thank you. And you're welcome for me pointing out that sanctions remained in place.

Myneighbourisanosyoldgit · 07/04/2026 16:01

We can moan about him until hell freezes over but until someone with some actual guts puts a bullet in his head we are probably stuck with him.
He all wind and piss.

Newbutoldfather · 07/04/2026 16:01

People only drop nukes if they have do. There is no way anything nuclear will be used.

Trump had said what he is going to do, which is bad enough. He will bomb power stations, bridges and desalination plants, the same things we accuse Putin of being monstrous about.

Israel are already bombing the transport network.

To me, this will obviously hurt civilians very badly whilst having dubious military effect. And, if the Iranians retaliate and manage to hit the desalination plants of the Gulf States, we could see an unprecedented migration of people from that area and oil spiking to $200+.

Hopefully they manufacture some kind of face-saving last minute deal.

Trump doesn't understand that the Iranian's won't surrender, ever. To quote Captain Janeway after Seven of Nine asked if she thought she'd be able to withstand hundreds of drones being transported onto Voyager 'We'd die trying'.
Trump is more likely to back down than the Iranians. His attention span is nanoseconds, his long term planning non existent and need for immediate wins and gratification overwhelming. He'll be onto the next threat, the next attention grabbing stunt soon. Greenland will be next, once he's bored with Iran.

It won"t, the EU threatened to start dumping U.S Treasuries over Greenland I believe (Sweden supposedly had started a big sell off) he won"t mention Greenland again.

i bet many countries thought they were better than nazi germany ? unless of course by your own logic you think the nazis were just as equal as any other nation ?

Edited

Actually Fascism was rather popular throughout Europe at the time of Nazi Germany's rise. Of course WWII put paid to that.

and in this case iran started it with developing nukes

Bullshit! There is no credible evidence anywhere that Iran has nuclear weapons! None! And didn’t the US blow up the remaining nukes six months ago and confidently state that they had dealt with the issue?
The Iranians were complying with previous agreements put in by Obama. And they were at the negotiating table when this started.
But that isn’t good enough for Trump and Netanyahu is it! No they want Iran gone for good.

This lies solely on the US and Israel.

He isn’t going to take any notice of people going for a walk. The most he would do is probably laugh.

The "news" are trying to spin away from this now, SKY are going deep on student loan interest, who cares! They were babbling about the moon a lot the last couple of days but soon won"t be able to do that, this war is going to cause massive consequences for people with debt in the UK and they don"t want to talk about it!

I'm quite surprised at the reporting too. Especially when so many are struggling with the COL anyway. I wonder if things will get as bad as the 70s fuel crisis?

i love that your so confident in your histroy of iran, tell me what sources do you have in the cia that make you so confident, ?

JHound · 07/04/2026 16:04

Maybe naïve but I don't for one second think Trump will do it - it's the ramblings of a mad man.

But it is still concerning that the a current sitting US president sounds remarkably like a 3rd world despot. This is the kind of thing I expect to come out of North Korea.

IdentityCris · 07/04/2026 16:04

That statement alone should in a sane society, be sufficient for the lawyers or medics to vlbe stepping in yo remove him on the grounds that his mental state makes him a danger to others and therefore, in UK law, sectional. I am sure there will be something similar in UslS.

I wonder whether the relative silence is precisely because there are intense discussions going on about whether now is the time to step in. I'm sure they already have plenty of evidence of his cognitive decline through all those MRI scans and cognition tests that the deluded fool keeps boasting about.

Yes, I can see $200 oil, SKY now leading with Kanye West, who gives a f*! The media are trying to stop taking about the shitstorm coming our way, is it because they don"t want panic buying or do they just want people to keep buying/trying to borrow?

Chenecinquantecinq · 07/04/2026 16:06

A lot on here are missing the bigger picture. All of this is likely a carefully orchestrated plan to destabilise the already chaotic IRGC at that point the Iranians will likely to encouraged to rise up against what is left of pockets of the Regime (which really are likely very fractured and acting independently). There’s so much hate for Trump you’re all missing what is likely at play here. Fascinating.

Ohthatsabitshit · 07/04/2026 16:06

TheseWordsAreMine · 07/04/2026 15:46

We arent bombing anyone and its closed for us. They seem to be dealing with China though.

I think that’s because we let the US use our airbases to launch their attacks, something I personally do not support. The French on the other hand refused to let the US assault pass through its airspace and definitely had a boat through today as have the Japanese and Chinese.

MaturingCheeseball · 07/04/2026 16:07

Surely we can all want peace without bigging up Iran as some nice little country just defending itself? I get that Trump’s enemy is my friend, but actually supporting Iran as if it’s a football team is ludicrous. Unless that is you actually think the regime is jolly good and welcome its further reach.

Britain did much worse in WW2, Dresden, Hamburg etc. the difference here is that the target has a choke hold on the global economy.

If you really think that’s the only difference you need some history lessons.

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 07/04/2026 15:53

I seem to have to tell people this twice a day nowadays.

Ignore EVERYTHING Trump says.

listen to everything Trump DOES.

They are two very very different things.

Regardless of what he DOES. It's worth almost any price to make sure Iran never has nuclear weapons, up to and including a ground invasion and mild recession.

Iran nuking Tel Aviv, which they absolutely would, would destabilise the planet for the next 50 years. This short term pain will be worth it if it all works out and it probably will.

Edited

Why are Israeli lives worth more than innocent Iranian lives?
They are not! Iranians are no more expendable than any one else!

What absolute nonsense. You can't seriously be suggesting this is brinkmanship to get the Iran people to rise up so they're not nuked/all their infrastructure bombed?

If Americans don't use the 25th amendment to get this man out of office, then the constitution will finally have been proved meaningless. And people with the power to influence the situation will have proved themselves to be bad actors if they do nothing.

Senior military figures who cooperate with his orders will make themselves war criminals.

This. It's looking more and more like the constitution might as well be a joke in a cracker.

Seriously though, is there nobody in the west wing saying Mr President you're being a twat?

They get fired if they stand up to him.

Who is supporting Iran? The fact is that the people of Iran have had a fucking shit time and Trump is making it even worse. He's not liberating them, despite his insane claims that they're grateful for being blown up.
