I was watching an interview and didn’t realise it was him at first!

Jim Carrey is unrecognisable!

This.

Jim Carrey is unrecognisable!

He looked so handsome in the left photo. He didn’t need cheek fillers or whatever that is.

But his nose is different, both at the top and bottom. I think it was a lookalike prank.

This.

his teeth look different to me!
He also said in the interview that his favourite funny face is the one he was wearing right now.

maybe it’s a prank!

I guess it could be a lookalike - it's not beyond the realms of possibility, especially for someone like him. But regarding his nose, is it not just that in the left photo, he's looking up, and on the right, he's looking down? So different angles? Although the bridge does look a bit narrower, perhaps, even allowing for angle.

That right-hand photo really does show he seems to have had filler in his cheeks though, and maybe a mini face lift. His cheeks at the cheekbone/apple are much more evenly full, and his skin is all very smooth beneath them, and I don't think puffiness could be that even.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 01/03/2026 11:32

So this older photo of him, he’s a lot less puffy, and has clear wrinkles below his cheeks, that’s all been smoothed out, plus his hair is different (higher hairline now and brushed back), but it’s the eyes that make him look so different now.

From older but reasonably attractive man to full gerbil in one easy and expensive Hollywood package.

Coffeeishot · 01/03/2026 13:07

Oh "Full Gerbil" 😂

He looked like him on the left.

Pricelessadvice · 01/03/2026 13:21

Why can’t people just age gracefully? Why does everyone have to try and fight it so much that they end up looking like a mutant version of themselves?
Do they seriously think they look good? Or has Hollywood addled their brains that much that they have a warped idea of what is normal?

NormasArse · 01/03/2026 12:41

Someone put a photo of him next to the photos taken at the awards- his nose is a different shape.

I’m not convinced it’s him tbh! I’ll find the photo.

Edited

It's him alright.

It’s odd if he’s had a lot of cosmetic procedures as he’s such a spiritual person. Or so he says, and he sounds very genuine when he says so (but then, he’s an actor).

I used to like Jim Carrey, especially after he kissed Chris Isaak on the mouth after Isaak had done the same to Cameron Diaz without her consent at the MTV movie awards in 1995.

However, just two years later Carrey forcibly kissed Alicia Silverstone on stage too.

Haven't liked either much since then.
Both men think they can do what they like with women.

Ducksbehindthesofa · 01/03/2026 13:56

I'm such a twonk. I looked at these photos over and over again, thinking there's no way on earth this was Jim Carrey, just impossible.

Then I realised I was thinking of Jimmy Carr....🙄

It’s your last line. They’re surrounded by people who look like this so it’s normal to them, and anything is better than wrinkles in their opinion.

Now he’s moving it’s definitely him. He looks like he’s put a lot of weight on so that will add to the difference, he’s always been slim.

Lugol · 01/03/2026 14:20

Men never look good with cosmetic surgery. Look at Bradly Cooper and Mickey Rourke. It's always so obvious too.

Look back at David Beckham from when he was much younger to now. There's a lot more than just natural ageing gone on. It looks grim.

berlinbaby2025 · 01/03/2026 14:38

I wonder if it’s the quality of the surgeon or the treatment itself that can make a difference? I guess that Meryl Streep and Glenn Close have had work done, and if so it’s really good work.

I think it is what they get done, im assuming fillers and maybe implants rather than the surgeons.

HatStickBoots · 01/03/2026 16:47

I’m looking at pictures of Bradley cooper and not seeing any difference between the before and afters… what am I missing?

I was thinking fillers and face lifts with those two, but who knows.

smallglassbottle · 01/03/2026 17:00

People look like their faces are being filled with concrete.

Once you are in the middle of it all it must be hard to accept you are getting older. Your peers are looking 10 years younger every 5 years. Plus you look back at your younger self and want to capture that. No doubt those cosmetic surgeons can persuade you you can be looking young again

Yes, think it also might be difficult if you were regarded as a gorgeous hunk or beauty when you were younger (Kidman, Zac Efron, Jennifer Aniston to name just a few).
