Jim Carrey is unrecognisable!

I was watching an interview and didn’t realise it was him at first!

I wonder if he’s plotting a career comeback and this is part of it? In any case I think the cosmetic work wasn’t necessary, looking at pics from a film premiere he attended in December 2024. The hair is also not great.

Oh god, another one who has had his eyelids done and looks weird, same as Bradley cooper and Catherine zeta jones. They look permanently startled, lose their character and it reminds me of a mannequin

That’s the point. We’d rather he looked like himself and aged normally. But he’s had his eyelids done. They get it done to get rid of the saggy upper lid especially if they’ve always had hooded eyes.

My DH and I discussed this, and I think I can see what's happened. On his press junket for Sonic 3, you can see his eyelids are drooping right down onto his eyelashes at the outer corners, probably affecting his vision. So I imagine he's had a blepharoplasty, and it's made his eyes look 'weird'.

Having investigated 🕵his eyes have always been hazel blue – brown starburst around the pupil and blue on the outer iris, and eyes do tend to fade in pigmentation as we age. Combined with the eyelid lift letting more light in, that could explain why they look a bit lighter.

If you look at him in stills from his 2018 show 'Kidding' I think he looks very much like he does now, although obviously he has changed with age.

He was very expressive at the awards show still, so I'm not sure if he's had botox. Maybe he's just put on some weight? It looks more like steroid puffiness than filler to me.

Id be very surprised if he had plastic surgery - he's so anti Hollywood and has not been a conformist so far. He maybe wearing a mask!!!! For controversy reasons - time will tell.

His voice is very different.

yes to plastic surgery. But what I found disturbing what his behaviour and mannerisms seemed so sanitised and unfunny. Also he supposedly hates Hollywood? He did an interview the morning after the Will Smith slap saying the whole debacle showed Hollywood up for what it really is. And now he does this? Bizarre.

Tbf, there's nothing wrong with anyone's eyelids but it doesn't stop people arsing around with them 😂

Steroids can change your voice.

Definitely had surgery but I also think he could be on steroids for something.

I think its some sort of prank.

But the disturbing difference is the change in his voice... and personality!

I am laughing uncontrollably in bed, trying not to wake anyone...

They're not, actually. They're hazel (so brown + blue or green) they're a bit like my own, where it depends on the lighting - sometimes they can look quite blue (or green) but mostly they look brownish.

Here, in a past photo, his eyes are clearly hazel and then again at the Cesar Awards, you can see they look much the same. It's just that some over-exposed/light washed photos from that night look bluer. (I'm way too invested in this, haha).

Botox and fillers. and veneers which I think is making his voice sound odd

All men who’ve got surgery recently look bloody awful. Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper don’t look human. So sad Jim Carey has fallen prey to this pressure too.
