It is incredibly expensive and risky to try and infiltrate - and maintain that infiltration - in the numbers needed for more than the odd pop. And if you are seriously working towards a nuclear weapon then that is not a project you can resource.

And once again, this is all happening so far from our shores that to the MAGAts and other Hawks there is no danger to the US so who cares? I can see them now sticking pins in ME maps in glee with every missile strike. But if you gave them a blank one, they wouldn't be able to label a single country.

I know there is an increased chance of terrorist incidents, but that won't be 'real' to them until/unless there are attacks near them or mass simultaneous attacks. Actually, it won't be real until they actually lose someone they care about.
