@Upstartled it's for terminally I'll people though with Six months left to live with two docs signing it off and patient

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:11

They only added the six months amendment last week.

Ooh, just had a parrot on my bird feeder for the first time. They're spreading oop north. Surprised how big it was!

He'll bring along all his cousins tomorrow.

Noisy buggers.

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:13

And you only have to look at somewhere like Canada to see where these limitations begin only to then then unravel into the absurd.

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:20

The trees behind our house are packed with magpies so when you are sat outside enjoying a coffee, it sounds like you are being stalked by predator.

Oh is that how it works? Not sure I fancy loads of them at once! It scared off my nuthatch and a gorgeous male bullfinch today. Hmm.

I don't like magpies, we have history. Murderous buggers they are.

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:29

No, I'm not fond of them. We do still have song birds though. I suspect they are hiding under various solar panels and in the eaves.

Nothing better than listening to song birds imo. I have wrens nesting in my garden and I could listen to them all day. 😊

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:43

We have common starlings. Pretty noises but they scrap like they've just fallen out of a bar in the spring.

Upstartled · 18/03/2026 18:48

The cost of oil has jumped again. Brent Crude oil has it at $107/ barrel with threatening noises it might get up to $200 if there isn't a significant intervention in the market.

US stocks tanking - it’s looking like 2026 is circling the drain…Trump talking about invading Cuba and nobody thinks he’s joking.

Yeah, it's getting crazy out there.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/03/2026 19:05

I love starlings. They have so much personality! Really pretty plumage too.

We get wagtails, pigeons, starlings and magpies in our garden in the main. There are loads of birds in the woods next door though, but they don't often venture to us.

Trump needs tactically removing at this point.

Trump is out of control, one way or the other he needs to be reined in or removed (tactically or otherwise) before he sets the whole world on fire. He speaks like a child, acts like a child, but unlike a child there appears no way to take away his toys and exert discipline. It's frightening.

Kemi asked 6 questions, Starmer answered none of them. Pathetic.

Starmer is giving me the rage. Answer the questions ffs

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 18/03/2026 19:34

I haven’t watched all of PMQs but have seen excerpts. The consensus seems to be that Starmer has lost control completely. He’s unwilling to answer any questions now - not just an evasive answer plus a bit of bigging his government up, which all PMs do: he really won’t answer.

He’s a disgrace. But - small comfort - anyone interested can see what a disgrace he is from every PMQs.

Yes he seems to be flinging stuff out everywhere, he’s lost control.

I wonder if he’s feeling the leadership threat return.

Yes, even the speaker was embarrassed. Today was beyond ridiculous. He shouldn't be in No.10.

Completely agree. He is beyond ridiculous.

On Ange maybe or rumours. Something about reassuring the City on fiscal rules, but I haven’t been paying close attention.

There’s a funny Matt cartoon re the HMS returning due to AR attack on Keir Starmer
