MN also very quiet on the Mandelson files. Speaks volumes.

Yep a quick look and the same still peddling for Starmer and Labour as ever. Not a dicky bird on the Mandelson affair.

It's really really odd.

If the shoe had been on the other foot, there'd be outrage!

I think some are just overly loyal to Starmer and Labour so they could do whatever and they’d be here batting for them.

And when it’s something like Mandelson which is indefensible they just ignore it instead.

Anyway I’m sure they’re a declining group and it’ll damage Starmer and Labour more.

They're swapping Churchill on Bank notes for a Badger. Starmer was really pissed off by Trumps remark that he is no Churchill 😁

Haha. Its quite pathetic really.
The timing is delicious though. Starmer will get the blame. 😁

Here we go. Its not safe in France apparently.

The one-in-one-out deal doesn't seem to be working as a deterrent.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/12/judge-halts-removal-eritrean-asylum-seeker-france-one-in-one-out

Bloody hell. So we keep the Eritrean with 'identified mental health treatment needs and a diagnosis of PTSD' specifically because we're more generous than France.

Not France refusing him, but us saying that we can't possibly send him to France , because he'll get less stuff there

The UK is absolutely doomed.

Of course not, because over in La La Land it's suddenly very important to uphold democracy and change the bank notes.

Can we start calling him Starmer the Badger, since he's no Churchill? Grin

God knows I guess their fans and Starmer apologists would prefer anything else.

Off mn there’s more although the war headlines will hide it somewhat.

I've been on another forum today, much more realistic than mn! Its like stepping into an asylum on here sometimes, complete detachment from reality. The silence is deafening.

Our Dear Leader has said sorry for appointing Mandelson today (didn't mention elevating Doyle). He was visiting a women's centre of all places. 🤢

TheNuthatch · 12/03/2026 18:29

😂😂 at the badgers, and la la land.

Didn't Labour want to introduce pine martens, beavers and eagles to stop them hemorrhaging votes to the greens? They would look quite fetching on a fiver 😂

It’s pretty much the inverse. I remember posters applauding that Labour conference speech then ratings for him plummeted. So basically the opposite.

If it’s silence on here it’s bad news for Starmer as elsewhere people will be talking about it.

Very true. Thanks for that.

Hello
May I have some sympathy, please? I need to find an emergency dentist tomorrow. I don't have a dentist. I last one went back to my old one after I'd moved, because I still owned the property at the check up time and I knew he was a decent dentist and was in the area anyway etc

It was on my list of things to do week after next because I'm away at the end of the week

But now I've had an incident so I need to try and find one tomorrow. Wish me luck. Also, I am really worried about it. I grind my teeth and you can do a lot of damage with that. I had a really bad experience with an absolute charlatan of a dentist last time I had to have something major done - but that was 25 years ago! Really hoping things have improved since then - they must have right?!

I imagine anyone will have to do a temporary thing and I'll have to sort it out properly when I get back? Not quite sure what the right thing is to do.

I mean, in theory, I should be able to trust the dentist, but in practice, after the total charlatan who I went to in my 20s I'm not quite sure! ☹️😭

I can't tell the truth about my opinion on this 🤐

I was out last night, and I had a bit of a "stay off-line" day today, and then I was distracted by tooth issues (which obviously occurred after 5 pm 😱) so I've only had a quick glance at what's going on

Everything feels horribly out of control and the news that foreign office staff attended an event at the Iranian Embassy is really shocking - on Feb 12th so they really can't say they didn't know, though I'm sure Starmer will say he didn't know what was going on at the time.

Along with all the other shocking things that just seem to happen all day these days.... it's relentless.

there is a thread in politics about Mandelson, but I haven't looked at it.

and there has also been a threat to Konstantin Kisin - sadly I am not shocked but I am concerned the police will do nothing.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/03/2026 21:58

111 can find you an emergency dentist @EmeraldRoulette

www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/dentists/how-to-find-an-nhs-dentist-in-an-emergency/

EmeraldRoulette · 12/03/2026 22:06

@NoWordForFluffy thank you that's really kind

I rang them earlier and the nearest ones would cost me about £50 in a cab each way - no, maybe more like £80? not accessible by public transport unless I'm prepared to take three hours to get there and then three hours back.

i'm also not 100% sure what's happened. If it's a breakage due to teeth grinding they might not consider that an emergency. It sounds weird, but I genuinely don't know what it is.

I think it's better to just go locally. I have to sign with a private dentist anyway. That's the reason why I still haven't found one. I was hoping someone would open their NHS list. But nobody has. Mum's dentist said to me that they would let me know if they open the list for adults, but he advised I go private in the meantime. He's not very optimistic about lists opening up anyway.

I'm hoping he's around tomorrow, but whether or not he'll have any space I couldn't say - I really should've sorted this out ages ago.

TheNuthatch · 12/03/2026 22:06

@EmeraldRoulette

So sorry to hear about your tooth issues. Fluffy's suggestion of 111 sounds like a good shout. Lots of sympathy coming your way. ❤️
Let us know how you get on tomorrow, fingers crossed you get a good dentist this time and its easy (and cheap) to fix.

Sorry, just seen your next post that you've tried 111. I hope you get sorted tomorrow.

EmeraldRoulette · 12/03/2026 22:09

@TheNuthatch thank you for the sympathy! Much appreciated.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 12/03/2026 22:30

I stumbled - genuinely - into QT tonight. I haven’t bothered with it for years. 15 minutes was more than enough.

How do Labour and Green politicians get away with the absolute horseshit they spout? The audience must be hand-picked to support the left.

I completely get that governing is about compromise and messy decisions. I also get that all politicians promise the moon on a stick. But the lies and bullshit of Labour and the Greens - Powell & Berry (sounds like a bogus soap brand) - were extraordinary.

EasternStandard · 13/03/2026 07:28

Iran will cover this but this was before the conflict. Whatever Starmer and Reeves say they’re doing it’s not working.

UK gross domestic product (GDP) flatlined at 0pc during the month, according to the Office for National Statistics, following 0.1pc growth in December.

Analysts had forecast the economy would grow by 0.2pc during the month, having expanded by 0.1pc in the final quarter of 2025.

The statistics cover the period before the US-Iran war which has caused the biggest ever disruption to the supply of oil in history, according to the International Energy Agency.
