Just listening to some Labour MP on politics live state that everyone on heating oil lives in remote areas in cold and leaky houses. I have heating oil, in a very well insulated house in a not at all remote area. Why do they just lie and lie about everything

Good morning 😁

This week's YouGov poll. Go on Kemi!

Reform - 23 (-)
Con - 19 (+3)
Green - 19 (-2)
Labour - 17 (+1)
LD - 14 (-)

Yay!

Edited to say except for Greens.

True and as Kemi said recently they just congratulate themselves all the time without ever fixing the problem.

I live 40 miles from London in a well insulated new build with LPG. Many of my neighbours use oil. Labour have no idea what goes on outside cities.

justasking111 · 11/03/2026 13:45

I've friends in villages in Wales on lpg or oil. Some houses in these villages are abs beautiful, not draughty and go for well over a million. Some are beautiful not draughty and go for 300k.

It's insulting to suggest that alternative energy equals poverty.

TheNuthatch · 11/03/2026 15:12

Mandelson files so far are dreadful for Starmer.

Starmer absolutely did know about his close friendship with Epstein, and was warned about appointing Mandy to be US ambassador. As did McSweeney.
Mandelson's pay off was £75K!

JaneV1984Madness · 11/03/2026 15:22

Yep, as most people.expexted. awful and as I've said before it's because it's not on his radar ,if Epstein had only targeted trans kids then he would have been all over it.

TheNuthatch · 11/03/2026 15:35

How could Starmer stand up in the HoC and say that he fired PM because new information came to light (after saying he had his full confidence only days before)?
In November 2024, Starmer was told that PM continued his relationship with Epstein until at least 2011, so after his conviction for trafficking a minor. Yet he appointed him anyway.

Starmer is a lying scumbag.

I've been debating on another thread about why I don't think young people should be able to buy class A drugs from corner shops.

I agree!

SpaceRaccoon · 11/03/2026 16:46

Anyone keen on liberalising drug use should go and spend time in San Fransisco, Portland Oregon or similar. What a fucking disaster it's been.

matresense · 11/03/2026 16:50

@SpaceRaccoonyes, have been to SF and I was really shocked.

redange · 11/03/2026 18:36

I have been questioning You Guv's Polling for a while because it has been out of sync with the other Pollsters for ages regarding Reform !

Judt caught up with PMQ's..I don't think that was the best performance from Kemi.....however neither was it great from Starmer.

Yep agree with you all.

Starmer and Mandelson - I hope he is scrutinised properly.

I missed it as busy not being a working person. When I read the write up, it sounded like Starmer couldn't understand that it was prime ministers questions, not his turn to question everyone else. 😂
I don't think Kemi has u turned tbf. She always said defensive operations, hence the catching arrows rather than going after the archer stuff she's been saying.

TheNuthatch · 11/03/2026 20:26

I now only ever get surveys from YouGov on brands etc so have stopped bothering to complete them.
The one I did a get zcouple of months ago on on politics gave options for other parties, including Plaid Cymru etc but not Reform.
Definitely biased against Reform.

EasternStandard · 12/03/2026 07:12

Times Radio brilliant on Starmer and Mandelson. Starmer ignored the piece of paper in his hand and appointed him anyway.

EasternStandard · 12/03/2026 07:15

On Doyle - this stinks.

Times not usually this angry I don’t think this is going away for Starmer. Good.

The bottom line is your gov showed zero consideration to the victims who you only mention once.

Labour guy still peddling for Starmer, but given a bit if rope from interviewer saying we know you were put up.

Good point next these questions need to be At Starmer not someone covering for him.

Starmer can’t rely on I was lied to anymore - he had the document.

Good.
I heard a bit of the Labour minister (Nick Thomas-Symons I think) on Sky.
They're still blaming the vetting! How can they say that when Starner knew that PM had stayed at Epstein's house when he was in prison? Imagine the furore if this was Johnson!

Starner is a coward. Files released deliberately after PMQs, now he's legged it to Ireland.

CandidLurker · 12/03/2026 08:42

I find Adam Boulton on sky news insufferable. He’s trying so hard to defend Keir Starmer. His previous defence of PM boiled down to he can’t possibly be involved in any nefariousness related to Epstein because he’s gay!

Agree. I heard a bit of him last night. Definitely trying to brush it under the carpet, and no mention at all of the victims.
He was on Sky late lastnight, but had to switch it off.

Yes it’s so obvious. I actually find it quite fascinating to watch him twist in the wind trying to create some sort of defence.

MN also very quiet on the Mandelson files. Speaks volumes.
