Would you spend £500 on a 3 night break?

We are going away for our summer holiday beginning of June but at the minute with this depressing weather have been looking at short breaks.
We have found one £500 for 2 of us all inclusive for 3 nights (we don’t arrive till 8pm first night ) but flight home isn’t till 8.20pm
So we would get 2 full days in Tenerife and till around 4pm on last day.
Obviously we would need spending money so probably spend £700 including hotel.
Would you spend that much for 3 nights?
Temps are showing 18-19-20 but I know in the sun it will feel warmer
Help a girl out …is it worth it ?

I wouldn't because the travel is always longer than you think we just got back from the canaries and on the way back we had to be at the airport for 10am and didn't get home until 6pm our flight was delayed by 45 minutes. The airport is 15 minutes away but we did have to wait 20 minutes for a cab home. I would for 4 nights/5 days with a morning flight out. You won't get there until late on the first day so it's essentially 3 days and the last day you'll have your bag to cart around and you'll have to check out by 11. City breaks I would but no more than a 2.5 hour flight for 3 nights and again is want morning flight out evening flight back.

Toohardtofindaproperusername · 26/02/2026 21:28

I wouldn't as I wouldn't think worth all the extra time and expense and tiring nature of flights and travel. But only you know if worth it to you for such a short trip.

Flingotheflamingo · 26/02/2026 21:38

Bon Jovi tickets, flights and hotel.. £800 for two nights in September 🙈

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 26/02/2026 21:43

Its pouring with rain in Tenerife at the moment and really stormy and windy ... so not if it's imminent

Livingthebestlife · 26/02/2026 21:58

It is definitely a great price, It would definitely help me decide depending on what the weather was like, wouldn't if raining which it has been here in Ireland forever 😞 I just paid 298.00 euro for 2 rooms for one night in a Premier Inn here in Dublin for Saturday 🙄 no food nothing !! It's 13.45 euro for breakfast each !!! Go for it

Is it the TUI blue?

I was going to ask the same. We were there in January, lovely hotel.

sansou · 26/02/2026 23:24

My 3 night early May BH weekend in Milan for 2 is costing us £830 for flights & 4* boutique hotel (B&B) so I would say yours is a good price.

Eggybreadwithnuts · 26/02/2026 23:26

Yep...as long as it's:

✔️A fabulous hotel
✔️Fantastic food
✔️Waited on all the time
✔️Chance to relax, chill

MrsCarson · 26/02/2026 23:42

I'm spending that much for 3 nights in London for two and no food or anything included. So it sounds good to me.

OSTMusTisNT · 26/02/2026 23:53

I would in the UK, 3 nights B&B hotel plus eating out for evening meal.

No chance I would spend 8+ hours travelling to get there though.

Nearest airport about 1.5 hours, min 2 hours hanging around the airport, 4 hour flight, horrendous Border Control queues, transfer to hotel, queuing to check in - no thanks.

These temperatures can’t be right surely ?

It’s not for the height of summer, she said they’re already booked a holiday June but due to the shit weather have been looking at short breaks for now.

ah sorry yes missed that. OP @lulu55xxx I just left Tenerife on Tuesday - the weather was AMAZING, clear blue skies and highs of 27 but it was apparently meant to get worse over the coming weeks. However… it’s nicer than here, take a light jacket and book it. It said it got down to 7-11 at night when we were there and we were sleeping with the air con on so I don’t think it’s quite right!

ZenNudist · 27/02/2026 08:13

Very cheap. Long flight for short break would bother me more but I know lots of people have a lovely short break to the canaries. The hotel and food could be a bit shit for that money but you could always eat out if the AI is shit.

I'm spending 2k before food for 3 days in a holiday park in the Netherlands in May. For 4 of us.

I was there a few weeks ago and it was in the low 20s. Friends ar there at the moment and they’ve had a bit of rain but even mid teens is nicer than here

I've just paid more than that for Edinburgh. I can take a guess at which one will be sunnier.

Bowies · 27/02/2026 19:22

Seems a long way and a lot of hassle (air travel) for 2 days of sun when your holiday is only in June.

I wouldn’t want to do that but it’s a personal choice.

BambinaCucina · 27/02/2026 19:31

We've never managed a city weekend break (Edinburgh, Bath, etc) for less than £1,000 so absolutely, yes!

Yes, we’ve just booked 2 nights away in the UK in May and that’s £700 just for the accommodation!

IDontHateRainbows · 27/02/2026 19:35

I'm spending that on an overnight break in the UK just one night accommodation / food

TemuTrinny · 27/02/2026 19:40

Yes I would. It sounds very cheap for flights and all inclusive. I wouldn’t spend any extra though. For 2 days only I’d be relaxing at the hotel and making the most of the all inclusive. What would you need to be spending money on in 2 days?

Silverbirchleaf · 27/02/2026 19:42

You can easily didn’t £150 per night on a hotel in the UK per night, so that seems a bargain. Go and have fun.

Fiddy1964 · 27/02/2026 19:44

Yes I think thats a great deal but wouldn't feel it necessary to leave the hotel and spend money elsewhere for a short break like this.
I have also been looking but would have to be solo as no one available over next few weeks, also have a trip to Japan booked in just over 5 weeks time with youngest son when he is on Easter break from Uni. So I am trying to talk myself out of booking a quick short break to get a fix of some sunshine.

feemcgee · 27/02/2026 19:47

I’m just back from three nights in Malta, all inclusive, £400. Hotel was four star and the price included private transfers. I thought it would be too far to go for a short trip, but it was great, very relaxing.

FlipFlopVibe · 27/02/2026 20:57

We spent £400 room only for 3 nights in Porto, for me with young kids we treat every minute that was child free as part of the holiday. The chilled drive to the airport, glass of wine people watching, read half a book on the flight, more than I read in the whole 10 days we went on our family holiday. It was bliss!
