Would you spend £500 on a 3 night break?

We are going away for our summer holiday beginning of June but at the minute with this depressing weather have been looking at short breaks.
We have found one £500 for 2 of us all inclusive for 3 nights (we don’t arrive till 8pm first night ) but flight home isn’t till 8.20pm
So we would get 2 full days in Tenerife and till around 4pm on last day.
Obviously we would need spending money so probably spend £700 including hotel.
Would you spend that much for 3 nights?
Temps are showing 18-19-20 but I know in the sun it will feel warmer
Help a girl out …is it worth it ?

Spent that on lunch last week 😋Lovely restaurant Ive been wanting to visit. 3 of us tho. Depends what your priorities are. Eggs on toast for the rest of the year (and not free range) or beans.

Edited

Were you eating gold bars?!

I think £500 is quite normal for a weekend away in the UK, seems rather cheap if it’s including flights though.

Yes I would. We just spent around 5k on a 4 night ski trip 😖

In a heartbeat

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 26/02/2026 16:50

Definitely

AgnesX · 26/02/2026 16:54

Yep, did that before COVID but to Majorca which is a little closer but Tenerife's only an extra hour flight wise. It's just enough of a change of scenery to rung the changes.

I'd do more "long weekends" if I had the time and energy.

mindutopia · 26/02/2026 16:59

Yes, we went to Lanzarote for 3 nights this winter and it was probably about £700 (£550 for half board accommodation in a nice resort, £150 for flights). We got some picnic food and drinks from the supermarket, but no days out or meals out. It was great.

I wouldn't go to Tenerife for anything less than a week.

We are spending 2-3,000 on a three night break in the arctic circle next week. It only matters if you think it is worth it.

Snap. Just back from Tromso yesterday. Totally worth it though!

Yes I’ve done 3 nights in Tenerife before. It was glorious - good for the soul and felt like I’d had a decent break

FairViewRosie25 · 26/02/2026 20:38

We just had a gorgeous one night stay in a silver service semi local hotel. It was £300 so yes.

Bitzee · 26/02/2026 20:48

Only if you’re confident that it’s a really good last minute deal. My primary concern would be that it’s too cheap so likely to be shit food/dingy hotel.

ThiagoJones · 26/02/2026 20:50

Id spend it on a 1 night break.

catipuss · 26/02/2026 20:51

I assume £100/adult per night when I'm planning.

badboss2020 · 26/02/2026 20:52

God yes! Though I’d pay more to get there earlier on the first day.

Wolmando · 26/02/2026 20:53

I couldn't be bothered to go for just 3 nights, whatever it cost

mynameiscalypso · 26/02/2026 20:59

We paid a lot more for three nights in Valencia last week.

Happyholidays78 · 26/02/2026 20:59

I would spend that on a 3 night break but I'd need at least 4-5 nights for the canaries, but I get knackered by the travelling. We were in Fueteventura a few weeks ago & it was lovely & warm (23 degrees ish) and a bit of winter sun helps to mood so much so I say go for it!

ThePoshUns · 26/02/2026 21:05

lulu55xxx · 26/02/2026 09:02

It’s los gigantes
We have never been to this area before

Los Gigantes is lovely go for it!

ThePoshUns · 26/02/2026 21:07

Is it the TUI blue?

Shoemadlady · 26/02/2026 21:08

That’s cheap as chips. Go for it

Mancity08 · 26/02/2026 21:14

We spent more than that on UK front seats apartment for 3 nights
so it’s a YES from me

youalright · 26/02/2026 21:17

The price is fine going abroad for 2 days i really couldn't be arsed

Silvermadmonkey · 26/02/2026 21:20

that actually sounds too good to be true, the canaries, height of summer, all inclusive? Are the reviews good?! I’ve just come back from Tenerife - what area is it in?

It’s not for the height of summer, she said they’re already booked a holiday June but due to the shit weather have been looking at short breaks for now.
