Would you spend £500 on a 3 night break?

We are going away for our summer holiday beginning of June but at the minute with this depressing weather have been looking at short breaks.
We have found one £500 for 2 of us all inclusive for 3 nights (we don’t arrive till 8pm first night ) but flight home isn’t till 8.20pm
So we would get 2 full days in Tenerife and till around 4pm on last day.
Obviously we would need spending money so probably spend £700 including hotel.
Would you spend that much for 3 nights?
Temps are showing 18-19-20 but I know in the sun it will feel warmer
Help a girl out …is it worth it ?

We are spending 2-3,000 on a three night break in the arctic circle next week. It only matters if you think it is worth it.

I spent over £500 on an Oasis ticket last year 😂 That only lasted an evening. Worth it for the memories, though 🙌🏻

simpledeer · 26/02/2026 08:58

Yes that’s good value!

VividDeer · 26/02/2026 08:58

I often spend that on a holiday let for a weekend

Beechtrees19 · 26/02/2026 08:58

I spent that in a two night break last year.

ForPinkCrab · 26/02/2026 09:00

Personally I would. I love Tenerife and been looking myself for the very same reason. A few things to keep in mind . Is it the north or south of the Island? The south Las Americas, Los cristianos , Adeje , are beautiful at the moment . If you google Tenerife webcams , you can see the beaches live . The North of the island is more cloudy, cooler and I wouldn’t go as I would want it sunny . A look on Tripadvisor to check out the hotel would prob be advisable too , esp if it’s cheap

Yes go for it! Even 2 days in the sun will be great. Price I think is really gd. We are just bk from Canary Islands, in the sun it’s lovely to sit in and sunbathe. Not warm enough to make me want to go in the pool though but still lovely. Cold at night though need a jacket for sure.

Littletreefrog · 26/02/2026 09:12

I'm going to a spa hotel tomorrow, and hour from my house dinner. Bed and breakfast and use of spa £340 for two.So yes £500 to fly to the sun. Eat and drink all you want and swim in the pool. Sounds fine to me. If you can afford it and want to do it then do it.

Beechtrees19 · 26/02/2026 09:14

I wouldn’t fly abroad for two days

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 26/02/2026 09:16

If that includes flights I’d be much more concerned about the accommodation quality due to being so cheap, especially all inclusive.

MrsKeats · 26/02/2026 09:16

Yes absolutely

itsthetea · 26/02/2026 09:19

I don’t like the weather - our winters are getting worse due to climate change … so I am going to go on a short haul flight to make it worse …

lulu55xxx · 26/02/2026 09:23

The deal is a late deal with 75% off

Yeah I'd do that, sounds like a bargain, have you checked out the hotel/food reviews carefully?

We're going to Croatia for a long weekend (Fri to Mon) in May and it's £600 each B&B.

BauhausOfEliott · 26/02/2026 09:25

£500 for three nights all-inclusive sounds very cheap to me.

Topplace · 26/02/2026 09:34

It depends how much £500 is to you. There were times, when it would have felt a ridiculous use of money that was needed elsewhere, but now I'd do it (just did) without thinking too hard at all.

I probably wouldn't do AI though, simply because on a short break like that, especially at this time of year when the sun drops and it's dark early, the wandering round town looking at restaurant options is part of the late afternoon, early evening "entertianment".

My Mum would say "Make sure you pack your wooly."

MrThorpeHazell · 26/02/2026 14:54

Yes. We've spent that for 3 nights in Wales. Loved every minute of it.

cramptramp · 26/02/2026 14:59

Yes. That sounds good value if it’s all inclusive.

gototogo · 26/02/2026 15:02

I wouldn’t for 19 degree temperatures, it was 17 here yesterday and sunny. For 25 now you are talking

Pedallleur · 26/02/2026 16:05

Spent that on lunch last week 😋Lovely restaurant Ive been wanting to visit. 3 of us tho. Depends what your priorities are. Eggs on toast for the rest of the year (and not free range) or beans.

Miranda65 · 26/02/2026 16:10

Well, it's very cheap for 3 nights in another country, so I'd be worried about the quality of the accommodation. And it's a longish flight for such a short trip.
But if you can afford it, why not? Sounds like a bargain! And a trip away can be a real pick-me-up.

Villanellesproudmum · 26/02/2026 16:12

I’m m spending more than that for one night for a friends hen do 😫

InLoveWithAI · 26/02/2026 16:14

I am going to the canaries in 2 weeks and spending over £600 solo.

So yes.
