As some people I know are and can afford to go weeks travelling and then others are just staying in the UK, or doing nothing at all.

What are you guys all up to?

We will be going away when I get round to biking something. These delays at airports with the new passport rules have been putting me off.

Oh. What new rules, when? I flew out of Luton this week and sailed through, no queues at all anywhere. Same in Alicante.

I've been to Germany, Portugal and two other Spanish trips in the last 9 months and haven't experienced any problems. Is that about to change?

I’m not aware of any new passport rules and we fly a lot. My husband in particular.

What is a huge improvement now is that you don’t have to put your liquids into a baggy at security. We flew out of Gatwick a couple of days ago and it was super quick.

Yeah it's great isn't it. We didn't have to do that last summer flying out of Bristol. I do believe some airports have even scrapped the 100ml limit.

The new passport rules apply to dual nationalities but obviously might slow down the queues in general
