What automatically makes you think people are idiots?

For me it’s:

people who think that Michael Jackson isn’t a pedophile.

people who say things like “Londanistan” “Bradfordistan”

People who say “If the Holocaust is real, why do the tattoo numbers only go up to 5 digits”

Me too. Apparently collagen production falls off a cliff after menopause and your gut lining is made of collagen. Hence why so many women over 50 have GI issues. I only learned this yesterday and am intending to start taking it.

In fact the people I think are idiots are the people who produce health information which appears to only be aimed at men and forget that women are not little men!

Edited

Collagen does decrease as you age, for both men and women. However, when you consume collagen you simply digest it and excrete it. It doesn't make it into your blood stream or magically become collagen in your own body tissues.

It's broken down into amino acids which are converted into proteins. Those proteins will be used in exactly the same way as any other proteins your body creates. - you can't direct your body to use those proteins to make its own collagen out of them.

Your body doesn't prioritise collagen production as you age, so it will use the amino acids from your collagen supplement for other bodily processes instead.

Collagen supplements are essentially either placebos or multivitamins sold at a very inflated price and aggressively marketed at women in a way that preys on their insecurities. The benefits people say they get from collagen supplements are either imagined, or are down to other ingredients in the supplements which you could buy far more cheaply in the form of a bog standard multivitamin/mineral supplement, or a Vit E or Omega 3 capsule.

Can you explain how a Holocaust is currently being committed? And why do you find this post suspicious, and what makes you think it’s ‘insidious’ and ‘propaganda’?

I studied the Holocaust at school and university, and Holocaust education is very important to me.

Here’s a resource from the U.K.-based Holocaust Educational Trust, which explains that the Holocaust refers to a specific event - https://www.het.org.uk/images/downloads/Guidance_notes/Defining_ks4.pdf

Agree. Usually means anyone who doesn’t agree with them is an idiot IME.

Do people really say that about the holocaust?! 😮

For me its people who think the Earth is flat and people who check themselves into hospital on Facebook with no explanation or context 🤣

Yep. Bonus points for posting selfies in a hospital gown with a drip, again without providing any context. 🙄

Maybe I did use the wrong word but that’s not that point, and once again someone is focusing on definition of the word and any not on why it shouldn’t be happening?

My questions are:

  1. Why are you (not specifically you) so obsessed with proving that it’s not one. What do you have to gain? Why are you trying to minimise what’s happening?
  2. Do you not think that we are currently living through a period of extreme impact on the world, do you not think it is going to be studied? There are 5 million Palestinians, we still don’t know what is going to happen to them because it’s not over yet! They could still all die, because I doubt the world is going to take in 5 million refugees.

I think there is still a danger that one day, historians will call this a holocaust too.

I think you probably meant Genocide not Holocaust.

Genocide is the primary term for the intentional destruction of an ethnic group, while ethnocide refers specifically to the destruction of a group's culture. Other related terms include cultural genocide(destruction of culture), pogrom(organized massacre), and forcible transfer/deportation, which are often used to describe the mechanisms of ethnic cleansing.

Holocaust is specific occurrence of genocide.
It’s not worse or better than other genocides.

Idiots include people who derail threads trying to show who's more knowledgeable or superior!

FanFckingTastic · 10/02/2026 14:14

People that claim they 'hate' someone due to their political or religious views.

People that cannot politely disagree.

People that fart and then get out of the lift.

I’m finding it hard to understand your posts because they’re quite vague and you’re not answering any of my questions. It also doesn’t help that, when people here ask you to explain what you mean, you dont explain yourself and you insult them, calling them ‘bots’.

I think you’re saying Israel’s attack on Gaza should be considered a ‘Holocaust’. As others here have said, the word ‘Holocaust’ is used for one specific genocide (the Nazi genocide of Jewish people in the 1930s and 40s).

As we don’t yet have clear evidence that Israel’s attack on Gaza is a genocide, and the ‘Holocaust’ refers to a specific genocide, I don’t think we can say that Israel murdering Gazans is a ‘Holocaust’. Maybe historians will call it a ‘Holocaust’ one day, but we don’t know if they will yet.

By saying all of this, I’m not trying to minimise Israel attacking Gaza, which I think is horrific.

Quite. It’s a war, and is just like every other war that has been fought. It bears absolutely no resemblance to the Shoah

Saying it’s horrific is all you had to say.

Given all the propaganda that’s come out, Meta allowing thousands of fake accounts with fake social media accounts, TikTok suppressing posts about Gaza, I think it’s fair to question if an account is a BOT.

See? More propaganda! The International Courts, whose judges we know are being pressured and sanctioned, by the west, have found it to be a genocide. It is not a war! And I think we’ve yet to see what the true world wide consequences are going to be. I believe it is very possible that this genocide could trigger further events that escalate into something further historians will call a holocaust.

We’re currently witnessing the US decline into a fascist state in front of our eyes…did you ever think that would be possible?

What kind of propaganda is it? I think it’s just factual. The Israel-Gaza conflict is just that - a conflict or a war. Hamas caused Israel terrible suffering, and since then, Israel has caused Gaza even worse suffering in my view.

And the ICJ have not found Israel’s actions in Gaza - although despicable - to be a genocide. They’ve not yet published their verdict on this.

On your comment about the USA, I’m not sure what your point is. I’m not surprised at Trump’s actions in the USA. From my studies on the Holocaust, one thing I learned is that fascism (and genocide) can happen anywhere.

I don’t agree that it’s a war!
If you want facts:

  1. Israel is an occupying power
  2. Under international law, the people being occupied have a right to violent resistance.
  3. Hamas, who were only formed in the 1980s, are the people in resistance against that occupation.

It is not a war and, in reference to the title of this thread, if you’re not part of the online propaganda machine to keep Israel in good light, and you genuinely believe that it’s a war…then I think you’re stupid.

I think it is a war and, like you, also think that Palestinians (Gazans, in this case) have a right to violent resistance. I really don’t think it’s a Holocaust though.

But I think there’s still a possibility for WW3 to break out and it will one day be called a holocaust.

Again, annoyed that there’s more concern about the fact that I used the wrong word and not that Israel itself have admitted to killing 70k people but that’s said to be a low estimate

JennyWren5 · 10/02/2026 17:44

Maybe, but it seems odd to speculate about that, given WW3 might not happen and - as I’ve said - the Holocaust refers to one specific event. Your comments that the Holocaust doesn’t refer to one specific event only is also a form of Holocaust denial.

There is plenty of concern from me!! I think Israel are committing unacceptable violence on the Gazans. I can’t comment on the exact or estimated death toll as I don’t know what it is, but I’m disgusted that Israel has killed or injured so many Gazans. That, to me, is an entirely separate point to your point about the Holocaust.
