What automatically makes you think people are idiots?

For me it’s:

people who think that Michael Jackson isn’t a pedophile.

people who say things like “Londanistan” “Bradfordistan”

People who say “If the Holocaust is real, why do the tattoo numbers only go up to 5 digits”

Depends what they’re reading I suppose!

The good news is that we can all chill out, because it turns out for every trait or opinion that someone may consider us an idiot for having, there's someone else who will think us an idiot for not having it.

So although we can't win, we also can't completely lose either.

Anyone that thinks it's cute to have no common sense, or educate themselves.
Fucking hours looking at pictures of cats but can't sew on a button.

Believing Facebook news posts and getting news and opinions from celebrities.

Adults saying holi bobs, saying ' I'm just a big kid' and similar.

Reform voters and people who think GB News is an actual news outlet and not a propaganda machine seeking to divide us and stir up hatred.

People who believe Farage is coming to save us and who believe Yaxley Lemon has women’s best interests at heart. Or the UK’s.

Flat earthers.

Religious nutters.

Narcissists who think they’re clever and that we can’t see right through them.

She believes that most people are “inverts” as in all of the men we believe to be men, ie. Trump, Putin etc are actually women. And all of the well-known women are men. Michelle Obama. Obviously! Lots of people from history too, when sex-change surgery was all the rage of course… Totally barmy!

People crossing the road who would rather risk their lives running between traffic instead of using the safe crossing a few meters away.

People who aggravate animals and then get annoyed when they attack.

Parents who give their kids caffeine drinks and sugar and then wonder why the child is hyper and won't sleep.

I don’t have a list , I have ADHD and I have a massive 6th sense for people so I just follow my gut instinct and I’m rarely wrong .

People who voted for Brexit.

People who think climate change is nonsense.

People who vote for Reform UK.

I hate this whole generalising an entire generation and reducing them down to a few lazy stereotypes.

I’m not of that generation. Yes, they benefited from cheaper property. They also had less parental engagement, many were raised by parents who were damaged by the war, and women had fewer rights. Perhaps they don’t all feel fortunate.

People who say 'myself' when they mean me.

I'm not sure it's any one thing, lots of intelligent people have strange ideas I don't agree with myself. Lots of intelligent people can be lazy and resort to letting others doing their thinking for them.

People who think billionaires are billionaires because they, 'worked ard'.

People who post on Facebook.

People who say 'generally' because they can't or won't wrap their stupid gob around the word genuinely.

People who literally run around the office to perform being busy.

People who want to treat menopause (the hormone deficiency with health risks) "naturally".

Women who will nod their heads to anything men say if those men claim to be 'on the left'. Looking at you TRAs, but not just you.

People who post about their job on social media, when confidentiality should probably come first. Do they want a badge for doing what they do?

People who have got good incomes, plenty of money stashed away in savings, mortgage paid off that come on mumsnet and ask, ‘Am I doing ok financially?’

The ‘Ivermectin cures cancer’ fans. Anti vaxxers are worrying but I suspect there’s also a deliberate, malevolent element behind some of these social media posts.

Yep. And antivaxxers.

I voted Remain but I think people who voted Remain who trot out sanctimonious tripe about all Leave voters being stupid are stupid.

Indeed. Personally, I think it's often a sign that people are smarter, if they don't actually care about conforming in what they wear to what other people think is fashionable - when fashion is mainly just powerful and influential people telling everybody what they 'should' wear (usually based on what they want to sell to them); and what they told people they 'should' wear several years ago is currently ridiculous and stupid, even though, in a few more years, they'll insist that exact same clothing choice is the thing that everybody who isn't stupid 'should' be wearing!

I'm absolutely not suggesting that people who follow fashion are stupid in any way; but it's absurd to believe that people who wear what they want to wear, because they prefer that, instead of what other people tell them they 'should' wear because "It's what people wear now", are somehow stupid either.
