Just got to work and realised I've left my lunch at home.
Will have to pop to Greggs for a tuna crunch baguette.
What do you usually have?

Because how else would that user let everyone else know how superior they are compared to us? They always have to come along and tell us. There was a thread the other day called 'what's your favourite pick & mix?' so of course someone came along and just had to tell everyone that they hate sweets

@FridgeJenga I’m kinda full from all the fudge (is it a sweet? I mean it has sugar in it?) but I’m sure I could manage a steak bake, a rage bake and some Tottenham cake. My new size 8 jeans are annoyingly slightly big, so it’ll help. I dont drink tea or coffee so I’ll take a fizzy drink of your choice to wash it down with. Please and thank you.

You didn’t ask what a sweet was though, which would have been obvious you were taking the piss. You said “I don’t like sweets at all, I think they are gross. I’d much rather have crisps. However I do like fudge” so you just came across like one of those people who has to point out they don’t like something when other people do🤷‍♀️

Don’t think I have ever bought anything at a Greggs!
Equally cannot remember the last time I went to McDonalds / Burger King or KFC.

im off to Aldi now, might buy some frozen Greggs and more fudge.

We have savoury cheese again in Scotland, I tried it but it wasnt as good as the old style on the big softies in the late 90s.

Vegan sausage roll or cheese and onion bake.. is their coffee any good? I haven’t tried it..

Oh really. I remember it on the baguettes like the tuna crunch is on. I put on so much weight thanks to them and choc muffins as a student in NW England 😂 I do worry if it did come back it wouldn’t live up to my memory, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take. I’ll defo be in Greggs if I’m in Scotland anytime soon then!

Loving that this has veered into a mild fight about another thread about sweets! That and “rage bake” has really made me laugh. There are frequently fights in our town centre Greggs as the concept of queuing (and watching with fear as the remaining sausage rolls are handed out to people in front of you) seems to lost on people.

Oh and props to @FurForksSakefor stealth boast about size 8 jeans being too big. Your “rage bake” means you are forgiven though.

Whichever bake is most recently out of the oven, some of those cheesy things from the hot cupboard and an OJ.

I need to go in again and have a proper look at what's on offer as I genuinely have not heard of half of these.
Like I said I'm such a stick in the mud, I literally walk in, grab my Tuna crunch then go to the counter to pay, where if there are any Tottenham cake left, it will catch my eye and I'll get one if those too.
I feel like a whole new world Greggs is out there for me to explore now 🤗

Does anyone remember the chicken New Orleans sandwich they used to do. It was out around the same time as the Thai red chicken one that someone mentioned up thread. I absolutely loved both of them.

Steak bake 😋 if they didn't have one of them, a katsu curry back followed by some variation of a doughnut (or two)

Stake bake, sausage bean and cheese melt (sausages picked out and given to DH), mocha. DH has two steak bakes and some kind of fizzy juice.

Cheese bites with sweet chilli sauce, decaf cappuccino and either a tuna crunch roll or a rice salad. The hot Xmas baguette was really good, hopefully it will be back this year.

or a cheese and onion slice thing on my way to work (23ish years ago!). Tried one last year and it was lukewarm and not as nice anymore. Sob.

Ooo havnt had a Greggs in ages. I used to get a sausage roll and a caramel doughnut 😋

Cheese and tomato pizza slice and an apple danish.

Mature cheddar and salad baguette and a chocolate chip cookie. .

Greggs chocolate chip cookies are amazing it has to be said.

I really miss the red Thai chicken sandwich’s they used to do, that was my absolute fave !
